I recently got married to an Indian national and I really wanted my new wife to stay in Singapore with me. It was very annoying for her to have to fly back to India whenever her social visit pass was close to expiring. It also adds to my financial burden since I have to pay the air ticket every time. I stumbled across SIC website and asked them if they could help me. The staff were very kind and understanding when I tried to explain my issues. They offered me to help my wife apply for a Long Term Visit Pass. It took a long time for the application to go through. Both me and my wife were very happy when the long term pass finally got approved. Now my wife can stay in Singapore for a long time without having to fly to India as often.
