Excellent customer experience
Please make sure that this message gets to the right people/person. In July, 2024, my partner and I had to change our Aer Lingus flight from LHR to SNN, due to an anticipated industrial action. We were rebooked on British Airways to Dublin and advised to travel by train from Dublin to Shannon, adding 3+ hours to an already exhausting international flight full of delays and tight connections. Once at LHR, we learned that the strike never materialized. All the changes were unnecessary. I spoke to an agent at the Aer Lingus counter who directed me to her supervisor, Christopher Groom. Christopher is a hardworking man who deserves recognition. He was pulled in every direction at the same time, by staff and customers. One by one, he paused to give his individualized attention. When it was our turn, he listened, locked his computer, found someone to cover for him, hustled across the airport to British Airways, and collaborated to change us back to a direct Aer Lingus flight to SNN on a better, earlier flight. Christopher? I hope you're reading this. I'm sorry it has taken nearly 6 months to write you a fitting review, but you were noticed and appreciated. You deserve to be treated the way you treat your customers. I hope your holidays are restful and that you receive a pay increase or promotion in the coming year. Thanks for being such a patient problem solver. You're what customer service should look like.
