Dishonest Do Not get spinal decompression done. It is a scam and does not work. I had an MRI of my lower back done and it showed I had a herniated disk in my lower back. I also had pain in my neck. Dr. D did an xray, not an mri and told me I had a herniated disk in my neck and needed spinal decompression don’t to my neck as well. The pain got worse with treatment and then I went to Connecticut Orthopedic for a second opinion. They reviewed the x-rays that Dr. D took and stated that there was nothing wrong with my neck and I should not have been having spinal decompression done. They also did a full back mri to confirm. There was nothing wrong with my neck and my lower back herniated disc did not get any better. There was nothing wrong change. When I confronted Dr.D he was very defensive and talked badly about the Dr. from Connecticut Orthopedic. He accused Connecticut orthopedic of making things ups so I would get surgery. Connecticut orthopedic said I am not a candidate for surgery and this is a nerve issue and referred me to a neurologist. The neurologist stated that if you have spinal decompression done and it is not necessary it will cause nerve damage. Be ware. Dr.D is not up front with all the risk and will change what he tells you. He told me 24 visit would fix it then changed his mind to it will take 4 years to fix it. He also told me that he felt it was a nerve issue in my neck when treatments were not getting better. I was told by Dr.D that the matrix that was used should have worked if it was a herniated disk but since it did no that tells him it is a nerve issue. During our last conversation he changed what he stated and said that the matrix and laser fixes nerve issues. All of his pamphlets stated that is used for inflammation not nerve issues. I also did not receive all of my visits. Be ware he is very dishonest.
