Economhy Rent A Car is a Nightmare, Run away Economy Rent a Car is a nightmare. You are advised to avoid them. We booked a car from economy car rental in Larnaca for two weeks via Expedia. The Expedia website said there was an Economy Kiosk at Larcana airport and this was part of the reason we booked them. First lie: There is no Economy kiosk at the airport, it does not exist, and apparently has never existed. Instead they send a guy to meet you. Our plane was delayed so we attempted to contact them even though I thought there was a kiosk at the airport. For Economy Expedia supplied four phone numbers. One in the USA - they could not help us. One in Costa Rica - they could not help us. Two numbers for Cyprus - using our USA phone from where our flight was delayed we get the message "Calls are blocked to this number due to high fraudulent activity". The Cyprus numbers are the same as on the Economy website. Lie #2: the phone numbers supplied are not useful.. On the Economy website they list a watsapp line for prompt service. We text a Watsapp message we would be delayed. We arrived later in Larnaca and there is no kiosk, no person, no car, and no keys. We could not get a Cyprus SIM for the phone at the airport. Lie #3: They responded by Watsapp two days later that the reservation was cancelled. Despite in their contract Economy says you can not return the car early because that time is dedicated to the customer, and we still had two weeks of the rental booked and paid for, the car was not available. Lie #4 They kept the full two weeks rental fee and would not supply a car despite the end of the rental period was two weeks into the future. On complaining to Expedia they were able to recover all except $75 from Economy Rent a Car. Bottom line this company is highly dishonest, uses false advertising, steals money from you, and I do not recommend this company. If you see the Economy sign on your choice with Expedia I recommend you do not book through Expedia, and at your risk try try to book directly with Economy on their website however given their extremely poor service in Cyprus you do so at your own risk.
