I attended the 10:30 a.m. Pilates class at The Base Studio, Harrogate, this morning. On arrival, the instructor told me my friend, who was already in the class, had told her all about me, including that I was in the police, which was completely untrue.
The class lacked structure, with some movements not repeated on both sides. The instructor made inappropriate comments about “tramp stamps”, “builder’s bum” and “chesticles”. She also touched me and other participants without asking permission, including digging her arm into my bottom to adjust my position.
I found the comments unprofessional, the teaching disappointing and the lack of consent concerning. Had I paid, I would have considered requesting a refund.
