I had been thinking of putting in a pool for 6 years. A year and a half ago I met with Jay Rhine (Owner of Rhine Landscaping). I was surprised, yet very pleased to have met directly with the owner. We discussed my vision and his initial recommendations. Jay put me in contact with their lead engineer. The professional team at Rhine brought my vision to life, plus more than I could have ever imagined. What used to be a small backyard with a steep slope is now a private, relaxing, oasis with plenty to do for kids and adults. The entire project was completed/ overseen by the experts at Rhine. I was updated continuously, met with engineers, landscaping and office staff as needed or desired. I am totally and completely satisfied with the completed project. I will be using Rhine again in the near future for a patio roof and a pool house. They are not the cheapest, but they are by far the VERY BEST.

Couldn't be more happy with our new pavers installed by Rhine Landscaping. They removed the old concrete - damaged by tree roots - and replaced it with permeable pavers that can be replaced individually if damaged. Especially appreciate the time they took to ensure water drainage away from the house. We had a general idea of what we wanted, but Jay took time to explain options and suggestions. His team with Jose paid amazing attention to detail, appearance, and finish. Honestly, can't imagine better quality work. On time, responsive, professional. Highly recommended.

I did not want to have to resort to making a review, but it seems that this may be the only way for me to get any response. We contacted Rhine Landscaping for a master plan of our new home around February 2023. Jay came and had a great conversation with us about what we wanted to do with our yard. It was determined that we would definitley benefit from a master plan being drawn up. We paid the fee and were told that a designer, Jackie, would come and do another walthrough to get us started. Jackie came by and discussed our home with us and we were told the plans were forthcoming and that they would be a draft that we could revise before any work would be done. We recieved the first draft on March 17th. We noticed that some items we discussed were missing and/or needed further clarificaton so we sent Jackie our concerns. Since then, we have called, sent emails, called again and months have gone by without a word about our master plan changes nor any discussion of getting started with any work. We finally requested a refund in June because we want to use the money to find another company to actually complete a master plan and have work done. So far we are getting nowhere. I would have appreciated if we were told up front that they were unable or unwilling to work with us. I loved the idea of a family business and thought we were going to get a nice product, but it feels like we have been forgotten. We paid for a master plan of our entire yard and thought we were working towards bringing the plan into fruition. We feel taken advantage of and would just like our money back so that we can start over somewhere else. We can only hope that this will actually result in a response.

Marvelous job of clean-up
The landscape clean-up team, led by Alvaro, did an absolutely marvelous job on our spring clean-up. I have multiple large beds on our two acres, and these five fellows worked hard and efficiently to get the clean-up, bed prep, fertilizing, and mulching (26 cu. yds) done in just one day. I couldn't believe how hard they worked all day and how good the property looks now. I'm most grateful.

Exceptional spring lawn and landscaping cleanup. Rhine gets it done and done well. We were given short notice to host a backyard wedding. The Rhine team stepped up to get the yard looking its best ever with plantings and sod work to meet that schedule. Jay's team saved the day. My neighbors are always complementing us on how beautiful our lawn looks.

Jay stopped by to give us an estimate for a drainage issue. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Told us our options and calmed us down a little bit on our water issues. Told us what we need to do to fix it but it wasn't immediately necessary. We will likely be hiring them for this project in the future.

I contacted Rhine Landscaping via email for a few projects at my backyard.
Rhine Landscaping responded within 24 hours and we scheduled a meeting within the same week.
Jay, the owner, arrived on time and listened to/answered all my questions (I had plenty) and explained in detail what he plans to do.
I received a detailed proposal within a week and Jay was very responsive for any follow-up questions which I had.
The overall experience has been great so far and we are very excited to get the project scheduled.
I highly recommend Rhine Landscaping to anyone who is looking for first class service.
Update 4/27/2022:
Our backyard project(s) were completed in April and the results are impressive. We are very happy!
I am a very detail oriented person and can be challenging, but whenever a question or an additional (unplanned) request came up, Jay's crew was making recommendations and solved them. In general, the crew was very experienced, kept me informed about the next steps, and delivered great results.
The entire journey from the first interaction with Jay until completion was very professional and I am foreseeing that this was not our last project with Rhine Landscaping.

I contacted Rhine about obtaining a landscaping quote. When trying to schedule the consult, I simply asked if they had weekend hours available. They wrote back saying they did not and "We thank you for your consideration and wish you the best of everything." Basically conversation over. They were polite but it seemed extremely odd to dismiss a possible client after one question about scheduling. Moving on to another company.

It is of utmost importance with Rhine’s continued quality in customer service and wholeheartedly respect and appreciate the insight you provided.
Your original inquire was asking about scheduling a time for a consult, to which our service representative offered a day and time, noting the option of easily changing it. Unfortunately, with your work schedule being restrictive during the week and only available on weekends, and our offices being open Monday through Friday, we were simply unavailable to offer weekend appointments. Thus, our service representative noted the weekday availability and wishing you the best of everything going forward as our staff is unavailable on the days you requested. During the off season, it remains a priority for Rhine to allow our employees uninterrupted time with family over the weekends.
While I wish we could serve your landscaping and construction needs, we wish you the best on your projects and if there’s anything you need in the future, please let us know. Thank you again for the consideration,
