Clarissa, was absolutely fantastic with our new dog that we just rehomed. We just adopted a year and a half Brenedoodle. Her knowledge and expertise really help us solve many of Polly’s, behavioral issues and attachment issues. The big victory was being able to walk Polly with a loose leash without the tug-of-war game that we normally have experience with walking her. I highly recommend her service if you have a brand new puppy or just a dog that needs a little bit more training. Happy client happy dog

Clarissa was great to work with! I feel like she understood our dogs personalities right away and gave some great advice on how to deal with her. We've already seen improvements.
She also didn't shy away from telling us telling us the things we didn't want to hear which is good.
I also loved that it wasn't that we had a bad dog or were bad dog parents but more about learning how to communicate with our dog effectively. Thanks for all your help!

I can not believe you would have to pay this person $319-$390 to give you a list of instruction's for you to train your dog, when you are hiring her to “train” your dog.

I am sorry that what I offer is not what you are looking for or hoping for. I understand that after not meeting me or verbally speaking to me, you have decided not to hire me for your dog training needs. I agree that my method is not the right fit for everyone.
Just to clarify though, as I mentioned in our written communication, I show you how to build a relationship of trust and respect with your dog, which requires you to have an active role. I also, show you how to potty train, teach basic commands, put in rules and boundaries while using kind, but very effective consequences, and many more things. After demonstrating and teaching all of this, I then give you support as you implement what I show you.
I truly hope you are able to find what you are looking for and things go well with your new puppy.

Clarissa arrived on time and immediately got to work talking with me and observing my dog’s behavior. I had so many aha moments as we talked. She helped me understand why my dog behaves the way he does in different situations. I started implementing changes right away and noticed improvement with my dog that afternoon! Clarissa was so kind and patient with our hyper, bitey 11-week-old puppy. We noticed a huge change in our puppy's behavior in just a couple of hours, and it made the training process feel much more manageable. We just got a puppy and he was acting like a normal crazy puppy. We were about at our wits end with him and rethinking our decision about getting a puppy. We thankfully came across Calm Nature training and called to schedule a puppy training session. She got back to us so fast and luckily had availability the next day. She was so nice and gave us the best advice and tips to help us with our puppy. We were doing everything wrong with him and feel that moving forward everything will be so much better! She was so professional and super nice, the price was well worth it and we couldn’t recommend her training enough. 10/10

After a negative experience with a different dog trainer, we were seriously blown away by Clarissa from Calm Nature Dog Training. She was cool and collected with our nervous dog and taught us how to incorporate positive training methods into our every day life. She knows her stuff, and was very encouraging to us with learning how best to help our dog.

Clarissa truly knows what she’s doing when it comes to understanding dogs and how to effectively train them. I have read other reviews where people say they noticed a difference in their dog right away and strangely, it’s true. Understanding how an animal works brings a lot of peace to the home when you can give the dog the leadership it needs. Clarissa makes this a very easy process to recognize. Would and will recommend her to anyone I know. Calm nature is a great name for what she offers with your pet training experience :)

Clarissa was awesome! Rather than focusing on simple commands that don't change overall behavior, the lesson was focused on how to think like our dogs and remain in control. It was also great having her in our home to give recommendations on how we live, rather than us having to adapt an off-site class to our lives.
She really knows her stuff. Pricing is also super competitive. Very happy.
