I just have to share how amazing Holly Roser in San Mateo is! She and her team are incredible — so friendly, motivating, and professional. Every trainer I’ve worked with knows exactly what they’re doing and makes you feel supported the whole time.
Since I started training there, I’ve seen real results. I feel stronger, healthier, and more confident, and I honestly can’t imagine my routine without them anymore. If you’re looking to lose weight, tone up, or just feel healthier overall, this is the place to go. They make fitness fun, challenging, and totally doable, no matter your level.
I can’t recommend them enough — if you’re serious about reaching your goals, you have to check them out!
I can't say enough good things about my trainers at Holly Roser -- they are absolutely amazing! They create custom workouts that actually work for me -- every session is tailored to my goals and my progress.
What really sets them apart is their encouragement. They know exactly when to push and how to keep me motivated, even on the toughest days. They somehow make even the hardest workouts for me feel like fun.
On top of that, they are incredibly knowledgeable. Whether it's form correction, recovery tips, or nutrition advice, they always know what they're talking about. I feel stronger and healthier.
I found this studio during my detailed search of training studios in San Mateo. It was a plus they had small classes consisting of women. I needed a safe place to train slowly since I’m deconditioned. My goals are to get stronger and also lose weight. I’m not disciplined enough to go through the gym regularly on my own. I had a FaceTime call with Holly and we discussed all of my goals and how she and her team can help me. I felt she really listened to me and we created a plan. I came in for a 1 on 1 and loved the studio. I’ve completed 10+ semi-private sessions now and I’m excited to continue. All of the trainers are so supportive and really help me perfect my form during the exercises which I wanted. I’m feeling stronger already and feel motivated to continue exercising on my own when I’m not at the sessions. They also offer meal plans and nutrition help which I’m considering. Overall would highly recommend to anyone. It’s definitely worth checking out.
I've had great experiences here with two trainers, Jonathan and Maria. I'm an early bird and they bring great energy to my private sessions. I love that workouts are tailored to what I need overall, but also to how I'm feeling that day. I'll be going here for as long as I live in San Mateo! But Jonathan also prepares workouts for me while I'm away, which is a great way to use the app to stay in shape when I'm travelling.

I am a confirmed "couch potato" with a life long aversion to exercise, but finally found a fitness team with the patience, personality, & professionalism to whip me into shape. Now a very happy client going on 5 years @ 2x per week! I can't say that I "enjoy" the working out, but I feel so much better afterwards that I wouldn't change it. I love Holly Roser fitness! All the trainers are amazing. I’m a dance teacher so I definitely know all about the different muscles & how to use them.
