Very knowledgeable about ALL things cats! With one session they were able to figure out how to solve our cat’s urination problem and provide a list of tools to break his habit. We were at the end of our rope before we found these super sweet ladies 😀. Still not 100% solved but their recommendations have made way more of a difference than the last 3 vets we have talked to.

I have had two virtual sessions with Cat Behavior Alliance and have been VERY pleased with my interactions with Linda and Rita. The first was a brief complimentary session that I utilized because I had a number of issues to present. The second was a 60 min in-depth session where we discussed the issues my kitties are having. I was presented with numerous suggestions, backed by research and a wealth of experience between the two of them! I purchased the two 60 min package as I know I will need another session down the road when I move overseas. I am happy to save this session for later. They do encourage follow-up questions and said the follow-up does not expire until they do! LOL Again, I am VERY pleased with their assistance thus far and would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone! Linda and Rita made it possible for me to help my cat Wednesday get acclimated to life indoors with my other cat Ellie. Before working with cat behavior alliance I was at my wits end. Thank you so much for all that you do!

I extremely appreciate Linda and Rita! I came to them at a tough time in my life with my 3 cats, inheriting one of them in the last 6 months and it has been rough to say the least. I sent pictures and a Large email prior to my first meeting with them. I immediately felt seen, heard and have more hope now than ever. For all the time I spent breaking down what is going on with my girls, they spent even more time reviewing all of my information before we even met and had a wonderful list of ideas to help me, never required I purchase anything and helped problem solve and guide me in situations. I appreciate the transparency of effectiveness of Feliway, never once told me not to use it but did provide additional education on the actual coverage of the diffusers and liked the fact I also have the spray and how that can be beneficial in my specific situation with my girls. The amount of information I received for support, the recommendations to my specific scenario and the support offered is more than I anticipated. Not to mention, the kindness, the compassion, the encouragement, and the gratitude I received for working so hard with my cats have also helped me keep moving forward. I am already seeing improvement with my cats with the guidance given for word association and how to work with my girls on this. I can tell Linda and Rita really care. They even ensured that I understood I can email any questions I have and to save my 2nd zoom meeting when there is a large need for the meeting versus just a question here or there, they are truly caring and I am thankful I found them. Not to mention the resources they continue to share for all to learn from: podcasts, the videos and the live feeds they provide. Please continue to do what you both do!

Fraud alert. I had a consult with this org. RESPONSE: Jackson Galaxy doesn’t claim to be a cat behaviorist. You do. *shrug* That term MEANS something. (Also, he is kind of a shill for playing into the “nature is best” fallacy with his tinctures who have similarly poor reviews. With no special qualifications, he should not be putting out products targeted toward cat well-being without consulting actual clinical experts.) BUT ANYWAY. ABC is not an accredited school and your certifications are worthless. Google ABCCT - it doesn’t even come up until the third or fourth result. Also, what does that T stand for? Last I checked, “behavior” starts with “b”. And your language around IAABC is misleading at best. No one is scrutinizing your love for cats or your activism, (although having annual reports about your charity’s performance is a basic requirement for transparency). The issue is claiming to know and be more than you are. Presenting yourself as an expert when you are not is literally dangerous. Snake oil salesmanship. Finally, veterinarians - AKA ACTUAL DOCTORS - recommend Feliway. Find me one peer-reviewed study that shows it is toxic. And, once again, there are sprays that don’t rely on the plug-in for anyone concerned about fire safety. One shill “vet” endorsement does not a safe product make. For example, about 90% of essential oils are toxic to cats. Not “TOXIC” as in “chemicals” - everything is chemicals - water is chemicals - but toxic as in “will kill or seriously injure.” This is why we have the peer review process. This is why there are organizations for behaviorists; there are codes of ethics and professional consequences for not adhering to them. Your failure to uphold professional ethics is just that - a failure. Stay in your echo chamber or do better. Your choice. In short, a hit dog’ll holler. —— CREDENTIALS: They claim being IAABC members (incredible accreditation),but neither of them are listed in the IAABC directory. One of the ladies’ degree is from a non-accredited university. Unclear what they others’ academic qualifications are. (UPDATE: Their “credentials” are from the specific school they went to. “ABCCT” means nothing in the world of behaviorism.) “CHARITY”: They state that their sanctuary is a 501(c)3 registered charity. The Cat Behavior Alliance is registered as a 501c3, though they provide no transparency about the way their funds are used. Without transparency, there’s absolutely no way to know how donations are being appropriated. Shady at best. APPROACH TO RESOLVING CAT BEHAVIOR ISSUES: Recommending products from one of their own corporate sponsors. This is the one product the ladies say you MUST have. According to product website, the ladies are brand ambassadors. The product itself “contains no allergens whatsoever” - so is either water or they are lying - “and is imbued with positive vibes.” For double the price you can add a “sacred rock” - also imbued with magic powers. No ingredients are listed on the website. They recommended so many other products. None of them have good reviews or veterinary endorsement. The only thing we tried were the calming treats and silvervine, and neither did a damn thing. CBA seems to rely on quick fixes to make up for the fact that they don’t know enough to address the heart of the problem. They give a watered down version of a well-known method (hunt catch kill eat groom sleep). ANTI-SCIENCE: They actively discourage people from using veterinary approved methods like Feliway. They also flat out lied saying there’s no spray version of Feliway. There is. IN SUMMARY: Beyond that, their entire approach is management-based and/or extremely general cat integration information. If you were an alien from another planet and needed to learn about cats, this would be a good (if overpriced) resource. Otherwise, you get what you pay for. Pay for someone who is credentialed and has reviews that are available to the genpop. So appalling that they have gotten away with this sham for so long.

Thank you so much to Rita and Linda for giving us such solid steps to creating a more peaceful household. You were so fun and encouraging. We look forward to putting everything into practice. We will keep you posted.

Linda and Rita with Cat Behavior Alliance have been amazing to work with. We had a cat adopt us on Christmas Eve. Our two six-year-old girls had some issues inviting him into our house. We did some work on our own and found Linda and Rita online when we had exhausted all we knew to do. At the time we were pretty hopeless that the situation would work itself out. We are 2 1/2 weeks out from our initial call with them and have seen drastic improvement with our kitties. I had some knowledge about introducing cats but the techniques that they gave us have proven to be successful. They recommended only products that they have used themselves that have worked, and I can attest to a couple of them now myself. They have made a difference. If anyone is in a situation where you do not think that your cats can be successful with getting along (or another behavioral issue), I highly recommend Linda and Rita and their services. They have a wonderful and follow up and have enable us to make success in a short period of time in a situation we thought may be hopeless. Much gratitude.

I have done one session with Rita and Linda and they were great! They had so much information to share and were so confident in the process and information they gave me. They are both easy and comfortable to talk to. It’s like chatting with an old friend. I’m so grateful that I found them and for their positivity and happy vibes that exudes from both of them. I felt like my session was very personal and specific to my cats and the things that I need help with. I’m hopeful about the process and the future of my babies being able to all be together. Their process is very thorough and I’m grateful for the typed up protocol as well as the video of our session. We are at the beginning stages of the protocol but are seeing some progress already. This is the first time I've had a meeting with Rita and Linda and al I can say is... I love them! They're both caring, sincere, and easy to talk with. And their follow up notes are INVALUABLE! I'm so glad to have found them. Having discussed my concerns with them and knowing they're there have really helped give me piece of mind.

Rita and Linda helped me and my wife work through a situation with our female cat where an incident cause her to believe her brother attacked her and now she doesn't trust him anymore and will attack him if she gets the chance. This ,of course caused a lot of stress to my wife and me because now we have to have them separate everyday to avoid her getting in unsupervised contact with him. We want them to be a happy brother and sister pair again, and even though I thought this will never happen, Rita and Linda gave us hope that this can change. In our appointment, Rita and Linda went though a lot of basics of how cats work and explained to us on why cats act they way they do. I know a lot about cats, but I learned a lot of things that I did not know and which definitely helped me in understanding the situation better. After the appointment we received a plan to work though with our cats to slowly but surely get them to trust each other again. Rita and Linda helped ease our anxiety and gave us important tools to work with the issues at hand. Working with them definitely made me feel I have support and that makes going through this process so much easier. I definitely recommend working with Rita and Linda for any of your cat needs, I know I will keep working with them.
