My child has been receiving services here and the experience has been one of the worst of my life. From poor customer service, being locked out during their breaks, having the desk folks treat you with disdain and treating my child in a way that contributed to a complete breakdown - I am completely shocked at the services and interactions we've had here. Would not recommend.
The staff is very pleasant and professional. I am very pleased with the interaction of my child therapists. They gave feedback of his performances after each sessions which is satisfying to be given an update and what he needed to work on. They are experienced in dealing with children and they are organized. I have seen improvement in my child and that shows their expertise is giving great results.
We had a wonderful experience at Talk About Therapy working with Sydney. We decided to pursue physical therapy proactively to help our 18-month-old son begin walking, and Sydney was incredible throughout the process.
She worked with our son on a weekly basis, focusing on strengthening the skills he needed to walk independently. Even after just one session, we noticed he was taking more steps than ever before. Sydney was patient, kind, and attentive, always listening to our concerns and answering our questions thoughtfully.
One thing we especially appreciated was that she provided recommendations and exercises after each session so we could continue supporting our son’s progress at home. Her guidance, encouragement, and expertise made a huge difference in his development.
We highly recommend Talk About Therapy to any family seeking physical therapy services for their child. Sydney was truly wonderful, and we are so grateful for the care and support she provided.
I loved Talked about Therapy. Ms. Margo and Ms. Jill worked so hard with my 4 year old. He looked forward to seeing them every week. They assisted me with ways to help my son at home with both charts and body movements. This was our second time around with Talk about Therapy (first time was with Ms. Ansley & we loved her too) and he’s speech had improved so much thanks to the work these women put into my child. Thank you for the dedication! Kevin truly loved you guys!
I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel parents deserve to know about my experience. I started services with this company in March, and initially everything was going very well. Unfortunately, my experience took a complete turn due to an interaction with a staff member named Mrs. Margot.
I am the mother of a 21-month-old Black toddler, and like many toddlers his age, he displays behaviors that are developmentally appropriate for his stage of growth and limited language development. During our visit, Mrs. Margot openly stated in a waiting room full of parents that she had “never seen a toddler act like my son” and referred to him as “aggressive.” She also asked if he was in a “special-needs class.”
As both a Black mother and someone who has worked in education for years, I found these comments extremely inappropriate, insensitive, and unprofessional. Statements and labels like these contribute to the harmful stigma that many Black boys already face at an early age being perceived as “aggressive,” problematic, or different before they are even given the opportunity to simply be children. These types of assumptions are exactly what create fear and distrust for many families when seeking support services.
Toddlers often struggle with emotional regulation, transitions, communication, and impulse control at this age. Any developmental concerns should be discussed respectfully, privately, and with care not publicly in front of other families in a waiting room.
The lack of professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and judgment displayed during this interaction was disappointing and ultimately led me to terminate services immediately. What started off as a positive experience unfortunately ended very poorly.
I truly hope this feedback encourages better staff training, professionalism, and more thoughtful communication with parents moving forward because words matter especially when speaking about young children.
We have enjoyed our time working with Ms Cam and are so incredibly grateful for all of her help. My son is no longer frustrated in conversation and is thriving as a result of her hard work and dedication to him. As a parent, I felt supported and was given tools to build on what my son learned during sessions. Very happy with our experience. Highly recommend Ms Cam!
I had a really positive experience at Talk About Therapy. The staff were kind, professional, and made me feel comfortable right away.
My Therapist Niti is very good and professinal. Thank you so much

Thank you Ms. Alpa! We are so passionate about our kids and families, we appreciate your positive note!
I wish I could give zero stars for the front desk experience. I spent time completing all forms online to ensure a smooth check-in, and we arrived right on time for our scheduled slot instead of the 20min early requested time (which is standard for every doctor’s office). Instead of being checked in, I was told we had to reschedule because I was late. There was no courtesy call that morning to warn us. The front desk woman was extremely unprofessional and rude during the exchange.
We will go somewhere else.
Staff is rude. Lucy the manager and Stephanie the clerk with purple hair and a white young female in Smyrna every morning. They roll their eyes and remove clients due to racism. They find a reason for you to violate their policy and cancel you as a client. They treat people of color like scum. They don’t provide effective and efficient Speach services. The staff just sits around and gossips and ignore complaints. They don’t have management in the offices. The therapist sit in the back until the last minute and blame you for being late. The clerk takes her time to check people in and gives attitudes and ignores people. Staff refused to see the recording of the poor and racist treatment instead the cancel me as a client and refuse to see the proof of poor customer service. Once they respond to this post. I rest to assure they will be defensive instead of addressing the issue. If you don’t believe me look at the old reviews. They are similar. I should have read the reviews before attending. Unfortunately, business take advantage of the help us parents hope to find in there office.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. While we regret that your experience ended on a negative note, we feel it’s important to clarify several points for the sake of accuracy and transparency.
Our records reflect that there were multiple instances in which you arrived late to scheduled therapy sessions. Despite that, our clinicians consistently made efforts to accommodate and provide services within the remaining session time, while maintaining fairness to other families scheduled for that day.
We also must address the manner in which our administrative staff were treated. Our front desk team reported repeated instances of dismissive and disrespectful communication. We maintain a clear standard that all staff, families, and children are treated with professionalism and kindness at all times. That expectation applies equally to everyone in our clinic.
As previously stated, our office has a strict no-recording policy to protect the privacy and safety of all patients, families, and staff. This policy is communicated clearly and enforced consistently. When it was violated, we acted in accordance our established procedures. The decision to discontinue services was based on policy compliance and staff safety, not retaliation or avoidance of feedback.
We are always open to constructive concerns raised respectfully through appropriate channels however, we cannot continue services when clinic policies are disregarded or when interactions compromise a respectful environment for our team and other families.
We stand by our commitment to professionalism, ethical care, and mutual respect. When those values are not shared, we acknowledge that we may not be the right fit, and we wish families success in finding a provider that better aligns with their expectations.

I have had a deeply negative experience with Talk About Therapy. They provide both poor-quality services and unprofessional, dismissive treatment. Speech therapy sessions lacked transparency and relied on generic, repetitive methods that did not meet the child’s needs. Speech services are like having a recording play while your child sits there Staff members, including Stephanie at the front desk, were rude and defensive, and concerns were met with hostility rather than accountability. The manager, Lucy, canceled services after the reviewer raised concerns, stated she would “investigate” only after removing the child as a client, and refused to review camera footage or watch a video documenting the poor treatment. No apology was offered, and responsibility was shifted entirely onto the parent instead of addressing staff behavior. Overall, the I felt that management prioritized protecting staff over the well-being of the child and family, reflecting poor care, lack of supervision, and unacceptable treatment.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at this speech therapy company. On multiple occasions, the office was not prepared to open on time at 8:00 a.m. The front desk staff are unprofessional and disorganized.
One day, I signed my daughter in online, but the clerk, Stephanie, was busy talking with her coworkers and did not acknowledge us or sign us in until I physically went to the front desk. When I asked her to contact the therapist, she gave me attitude and responded “anyways” after I questioned her behavior. There was no manager on duty, and she refused to contact management.
Because my concerns were being ignored, I recorded the interaction. Instead of addressing the rude and unprofessional behavior, management later contacted me and removed my daughter from services, claiming I violated policy by recording. My concerns were completely disregarded, and it felt like bad behavior was rewarded while my child was punished.
Sessions are supposed to be 30 minutes, but in reality they are closer to 15 minutes due to poor organization and staff inefficiency. It’s clear the focus is on billing rather than providing quality care.
I also spoke with the manager, Lucy, who was rude and dismissive. When I asked why my daughter was removed from services instead of my concerns being addressed, she hung up on me.
Overall, this office lacks professionalism, accountability, and concern for the children they serve. Management and staff seem to protect each other rather than address legitimate issues, and the priority appears to be money—not patient care
