Hello Tyson, and our great teachers: Scott, Ian, Cosmo, Billy and Joe from britains greatest surfschool.
We are still pumped by our awesome surf vacation this summer. We now own a used surfboard and are going to the north sea in Oktober to continue what we started at your lovely Gwithian Beach. We definitely want to come back! Landlocked in Bremen we will probably also have to start windsurfing in the meantime. Looking forward to seeing you again. Only the best for now

Had an amazing time at Gwithian Surf Academy! The instructors were super friendly and really knew their stuff. As someone quite new to surfing, I appreciated how patient they were and how they made sure everyone in the group was comfortable. The beach is gorgeous, and the waves were perfect for learning. The gear was in great condition too. If you’re thinking about giving surfing a try or want to improve, I can’t recommend these guys enough. Definitely a five-star experience!

I had a very positive experience at GAS. I'm not a complete beginner and wanted some improvement classes, and the instructors (Max, Cosmo, Billy and Ian) were very willing to provide this and make sure that I was looked after despite the range of abilities in the classes. Along with Tyson they were friendly, welcoming and accommodating and I was impressed by their knowledge, professionalism, advice and patience. I managed to break a board (sorry again guys) and they were great about it. Many thanks all for an excellent week and hope to see you again!

We enjoyed our first surf lesson today with instructor Billy, he was amazing with my son who is neurodiverse. I'd anticipated he'd not be in the water very long but he'd enjoyed the entirety of the lesson due to Billy's kind patience and caring approach. Our whole family thoroughly enjoyed the day and the beach was beautiful. A new annual activity for us while on holiday. Thank you.

We recently took a beginners surfing lesson with Gwithian Academy, and it was a fantastic experience! The instructors were incredibly patient, friendly, and skilled at making us feel at ease in the water. They provided clear, step-by-step guidance that made it easy for us to catch our first waves.
The beach at Gwithian was the perfect spot for learning, with its gentle waves and beautiful surroundings. The lesson was well-paced, giving us plenty of time to practice and build confidence. By the end, we were all standing up and riding the waves!
We highly recommend Gwithian Academy for anyone looking to start surfing in Cornwall. It was a fun, supportive, and thoroughly enjoyable experience that left us eager to get back on the board!

Thank you to Max for the surf lesson for a 40 year old dad and my 11 year old daughter. Really good encouraging positive attitude and tips on technique and made it fun for us. Both standing on the board and turning a bit was a real suprise in our lesson. Would definitely return and recommend to others.

Had a fantastic experience with the team at GAoS. So helpful and friendly it felt like we knew them for ages. Were amazing with our 6 year old niece - can’t recommend them enough. Wetsuits were like new and the boards were in good condition. We will be going back for sure 👍🏼

I came here with my brother and sister for a beginner session - Scott and Ollie were really helpful and kind and let us keep the boards for an hour after the session to practice.

Fantastic experience! These guys were amazing and gave my 2 boys the best first experience of surfing. They were friendly, caring and knowledgeable and obviously loved what they do :D. Excellent family surfing
We had the absolute best time with Gwithian Academy of surfing. We’d booked two family sessions for us and our boys aged 9&11. We ended up having four lessons as we all just loved it so much. All the instructors were so friendly and welcoming towards us and the boys. We had all our lessons with Ollie who was amazing. He made sure the boys had the best time whilst teaching them skills for surfing and made sure they were safe and happy at all times. They both picked it up so quickly and have said this was their favourite activity of their whole summer. Ollie was so encouraging to myself and my husband and managed to get us both just about standing up which was a miracle and we both loved it! The weather was a mixture of cloudy days and then a couple of beautiful sunny days, the wetsuits are great quality and none of us got cold at any point. The boys are already desperate to come back for our next holiday to pick up where they left off! Thank you for a fabulous few days, we would 100% recommend to everyone and will definitely be back.

Fantastic experience. We are a family aged 13-60 and all took a lesson having never surfed before. Very friendly, professional and supportive enabling us all to ride the waves very quickly - some of us even managed to stand. Thank you Gwithian Academy of Surfing. Would highly recommend.
