Lovely relaxing weekend
☺ Me and my Husband visited on 6-8/2024. we wanted somewhere quiet to relax! We loved how calm and quiet the location was, breakfast with plenty of choices and stuff lovely. The swimming pool area wasn't busy. We had complimentary teas and coffee, etc. You could help yourself through the day. It was such a shame we couldn't book a massage as the lady was fully booked. We will try next time!
☹ Would be lovely if there were 2 loungers there .

☺ Breakfast was very good and nice we could help ourselves to tea, coffee and juice. Enjoyed the sauna and pool facilities. Staff we're friendly and helpful.
☹ Nothing that springs to mind. We had one drink in hotel each and it was bit pricy but that appears to be the norm nowadays. Made up for by the sauna and pool being in with price of the room.

☹ shower has something missing which exposed the internal part of the mixer. I could not tell which was was hot or cold.

Peaceful and relaxing.
☺ The parts of the hall that are still visible, and the grounds. The night manager was great and clearly loves both the building and his job. The peace and serenity around this place is just lovely
☹ Bacon not done enough, only one coffee machine at breakfast was a faff, and the room was hotter than hell. Haydes could stay here and not get cold

☺ The coffee machines that you can help yourself is an excellent touch, love the relaxed seating in the bar area
☹ Bath was a bit small and the restaurant menu could have more choice. Previous stay here there was a pie and a pasta dish but sadly this wasn't available

A great dog-friendly hotel.
This was a great find. Super dog-friendly hotel, lovely grounds at the hotel and at the railway station next door. Staff were really helpful and friendly from booking through to check-out. Restaurant menu was varied and the food was delicious (hint - try the lemon sole, it was beautifully cooked and the potatoes that came with it were super). The accommodation looks a bit dated from outside and in the corridors (we had a standard room) but don't let that put you off - our room was clean and the bed was really comfortable, dog bowls provided and a walk in shower made it a great stay.

Property ads deceiving and what I paid for was not what I got. Would not look to stay in the future.

Good breakfast and evening meal.
☹ Bedrooms, very basic and dull
Hotel is mainly a conference centre and furnished as such.
No bedrooms in the actual main building, which really needs a bit of TLC.
Bedrooms are in seperate blocks off of the hotel and NOT shown on any photos to advertise the hotel.
Originally booked 2 nights and glad that we cancelled the first night's stay.
Not what I see as a 4 star hotel as advertised.

A wonderful hotel for a family reunion!
The staff were amazing nothing was too much trouble for them. They were courteous and friendly. The food was delicious and timely presented to accomodate our other party of ten. The rooms were clean, tidy and well presented. Access was restricted for rollator or wheelchair users.
