Such a special place and hidden gem tucked away in the heart of Babylon Village. I always leave a class feeling revitalized and centered. Jackie & Amandas classes always lift my spirits and do a body good! Highly recommend especially if you are looking for a place that will make you feel warm and welcomed no matter how little or often you go!

I have been a student at Long Island Center for Yoga for 10 years. I was initially drawn to the studio by the variety of classes offered. There are so many reasons why I am grateful for this space. The teachers here are wonderful human beings who are knowledgeable, warm and compassionate. I always feel safe and supported. The culture of the studio sets it apart from other yoga studios I have attended. The philosophy of yoga & the whys of the practice are integrated in every class. I feel like I am always learning more about the practice, myself and how to respond to the world around me week after week. The space feels like a genuine community. My friends at the studio have been there for my joys and hugged me through my tears and I am grateful that this space connected us together. Come with an open mind, leave your expectations at the door and find the classes that resonate with you. I am so glad I did.

This place is truly a hidden gem. As soon as you walk through the door, you can feel the warmth and care that Jackie, the owner, has poured into this space. Her presence is calming, genuine, and encouraging—whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned yogi, she meets you exactly where you are. The studio has an intimate, community feel that you don’t get at larger commercial places. Each class feels personal and intentional, and the instructors are knowledgeable, patient, and passionate. It’s the kind of environment where you can slow down, breathe, and actually reconnect with yourself. If you’re looking for a place to unwind, grow, and feel supported, this place is absolutely worth discovering. I highly recommend!

In my short lived experience having a package at this school. After a decade of coming in to buy gift for mother's day and such. My experience.I attended one book circle, half of us didn't get to share, including BIPOC voice that wasn't centered. The circle was mostly dominated by 2 woman, 1 who was speaking of her past recovery program and how she 'didn't need it anymore', as a young one I was also spoken down to, though there's a good chance I have more life experience then have of the ladies in that room. After I went to a Qi Gong class. From past experience I have been told your chi rises from your feet and the power of your movement of your arms is driven by your hips. Maybe i'm wrong. I ended up walking about after 15 minutes when he kept telling me to move from my feet and kept entering my personal space, right over my left should and in the flow of my movement non-the-less. I each time asked him to please step out of my space and he refused, after the third time I walked out, about 10 minutes into the class. I reached out to the owner and my reply was offering a refund.Instead I did not want to take money back from a small business so I worked through my feelings and returned over a month later. When I registered for classes, The first return I arrived and the class was canceled, the owner said she was congested yet fully energized for talking. Saying 'I know how it seems." Then following it canceled the other 2 classes I registered for the night before Thankgivings. I asked about the process of a refund showing my card was paid off, a.nd she issued it with that inquiry alone. However her class before and Thanksgiving morning are still on. I'm personally mind blownMaybe they're clickie, maybe it's just me.Maybe it's just a coincidence.I will let you make your own opinion. But I don't believe this shop or community deserves 5 stars. So I share, my second ever google review. The 3 stars is because the own is knowledgable It's just not the community vibe I'd expect from a yogi

The Long Island Center for Yoga is more than just a yoga studio. With tender love and care, Jackie Morrison has cultivated a true community where everyone is welcome, and I am continuously grateful to have found it. On a regular basis, the studio offers yoga, meditation, Pilates, strength training and tai-chi classes. Often added to the schedule you will find spiritual groups, sound bath experiences, dance classes, lectures, yoga teacher trainings, and celebrations. Most classes and events are offered live with an option to join via Zoom. There is always something to look forward to! All of the staff are kind and compassionate, the boutique in front is adorable, and the studio space is beautiful and well kept. All of the teachers teach from the heart and create a safe, calm, and healing space for practice. Jackie herself is a gift. Having completed hundreds of hours of training with some of the best yoga teachers, philosophers, and spiritual leaders from various backgrounds, she is a wealth of knowledge. While she is obviously deeply committed to a spiritual lifestyle, Jackie is also grounded in reality. She finds a way to meet all of her students where they are, inspiring them in a sensible, down-to-earth, and often humorous way. Students of all ages, genders, and backgrounds continue to return to her classes because they offer something for everyone. Jackie is frequently at the studio teaching her regularly scheduled classes, covering for other teachers, or just greeting the students coming in and out. Through these interactions, she has influenced so many. For those looking to dive in deeper, she also offers one-on-one sessions for private yoga, yoga therapy, reiki, and spiritual direction. Having been a student of hers in all of these capacities, I can say that she has helped me navigate through challenging times, learn and grow in ways that I never could have imagined, and understand that the place to seek peace is actually within. I look forward to continuing to learn and grow with Jackie and the LICY community for years to come. Whether you are looking to stretch or strengthen your body, relax, learn, make new friends, or just “be,” The Long Island Center For Yoga is the place to go. You’ll be welcomed with open arms!

I can not say enough about this Yoga Studio because it is so much more than a place for the physical body to grow stronger. Jackie the owner has become a spiritual teacher to me since 2011. Her sessions and that of all the teachers are inspirational, motivational and life changing. The practice of Yoga on the mat is a beautiful and sacred place and in addition this community embodies Yoga off the mat as well. Bringing like hearted people into a space of love and support without judgement is no easy task in this current world. This place is a haven of love and support - you will feel the peace the moment you walk in. Other events and workshops and out of area retreats add to the community vibe here. We are a family with open arms to anyone looking for their “tribe” or family of choice. I have done yoga in other studios and it does not feel like Yoga to me. Here in the place Jackie has created, is something we can not see or describe - it is simply love and a place where what is “real” only matters. Whether you are a beginner or hard core Yogi, your home is waiting for you here! I found mine at Long Island Yoga. Check out a class online or in studio. And look on the website for all the events and private options too. I love this place! <3
