My son has been learning guitar with Inspired Sounds for 4 years and thanks to Ben, has such a love for music and his instrument. Ben encourages him to learn through his own musical tastes alongside syllabus material, also introducing him to different genres and artists.He is a very likeable, encouraging and patient teacher and will always take the time to answer any questions we have. My son has also been well supported and encouraged through his gradings, having started with acoustic guitar and having moved to electric, just recently competing Grade 5 Rock Guitar. We have engaged in both face-to-face and online lessons which have both allowed my son to learn successfully and provided us with flexibility. We highly recommend Inspired Sounds.

Have been going to Ben for a couple of years now. Ben has developed a structured plan for my guitar tuition and I have managed to gain grade 2 for accoutic guitar. He varies the classes by introducing finger picking, strumming and other methods to give me a wide knowledge. Ben is very patient and encourages you when you may think you are going backwards! Ben's tuition is top notch and I thoroughly recommend him to anyone from teenage years to old foggiest like myself. I am 68.

I have been getting lessons from Ben for a couple of years now. I wanted to have a tutor who I could have face to face lessons with and who could aid in my development as a guitar player with a mix of theory and playing songs I wanted to learn. Ben has delivered on both fronts and I feel my guitar playing has come on a lot primarily due to his tutelage. Although the time I am able to commit to practise between lessons varies, the opportunity to have an hour every couple of weeks to dedicate to guitar playing and get the guidance from Ben has been amazing.

I started ukulele lessons with Ben just over a year ago. I’d been playing for a year in ukulele groups but wanted to try to progress my knowledge and skills. With Ben’s excellent tuition, I’ve passed ukulele Grades 3 and 4 and I’m now working on Grade 5. Ben makes lessons fun as well as informative, always willing to listen to suggestions for songs, correcting technique and giving feedback in a supportive way. I’ve just started guitar lessons with him too and have already made lots of progress. I’d therefore highly recommend Ben to anyone wanting to learn an instrument in a patient, clear and fun way.

Ben has been a godsend for our son -who took up music from scratch half way through nat 5's and knew very little about how to play a guitar. He has brought him on so much and to a point where our son is much more confident and able, and enjoys going. Ben is really committed and goes out his way to ensure that our son is well equipped for music at school. Each week he sends a review of the lesson and a practice plan. I wouldn't hestiate to recommend him to anyone whether looking for help through music at school or as an interest/hobby.

I gave Ben the mission of trying to make me sound cool on the guitar. To me, learning a song is a journey like crossing a bridge – on one side you don’t know how to play it and on the other you do. Ben will guide you across but in doing so will take the chance teach you how the bridge is structured and how it is built. The theory! You learn a few more songs and then, all of a sudden, you think, hey! I have crossed a bridge like this before! You know the design and the structure. Eventually you stand at the bridge and think – hey! I can work how to cross this (I need a pen and paper and a bit of time but – I can do it!) Eventually someone you are playing with starts a jam by calling out a key and you know how it all works and hangs together and you can jam along with them and just how cool is that! Just to put my comments in a in bit of context – I am old enough to remember the Beatles singles coming out (and how cool were they!) – Ben is pretty cool with pupils my age too. Mission accomplished…Cool all round really…
