This was my first multi-day trip on a sailing yacht, and it was so much better than I expected. It definitely won't be my last.
Faraway Yachting made everything easy. Booking was simple, communication before the trip was clear, and once we were on board everything just worked.
We sailed through Ang Thong National Marine Park, which was stunning. We kayaked along the limestone cliffs, swam in clear turquoise water, and hiked up to some incredible viewpoints.
One of the real highlights of an overnight cabin charter is being in the park before the day-trip boats arrive and after they've all gone home. We woke up anchored in quiet bays with no one else around and had the beaches and viewpoints to ourselves in the early morning and late afternoon. You just can't get that on a day trip.
The crew made the trip. They were friendly and relaxed but clearly knew what they were doing, so we always felt safe and looked after.
The food deserves its own mention. Every meal was fresh, properly Thai, and far better than I thought possible from a small galley. Eating dinner on deck at sunset with good company was probably my favourite part of the whole trip.
If you've never spent a few nights living on a boat, this is a great way to start. I'd recommend Faraway Yachting to anyone, and I'm already looking forward to the next one.
