Tristan is an amazing teacher. He helped my daughter gain an A* at A level. She understood detail and concepts but struggled with essay structure and exam technique. Our daughter was fast approaching her GCSEs, and with Geography being one of her subjects, we watched over a period of months as her confidence faded and she began to struggle. We decided to seek help, and that’s when we found Tristan. From the outset, he helped rebuild her confidence and deepened her understanding of the subject. It wasn’t just about the results — although she did very well — it was about reigniting her interest in Geography and helping her walk into the exam feeling calm, confident, and capable. She came out knowing she’d done her best and feeling like a success. Tristan was incredibly flexible, always working around her schedule, and provided consistent support and encouragement throughout the journey. Tristan helped our daughter Sophie with her GCSE Geography studies. Despite working very hard, she was struggling to get above a grade 3 in her mocks and was at risk of being unable to do Geography at A-level. We realised that we had left it very late to get some help but had been hoping that her school would turn things around. We started a discussion with Tristan in the January before her summer exam, and from the very first call we were 100% happy (and relieved) that Tristan was on board. Sophie had a lot of catching up to do, but Tristan put a plan in place to revisit the whole syllabus by Easter and then concentrate on exam questions and techniques in the run-up to her exam. He not only increased her technical knowledge but also, importantly, massively boosted her confidence and self-belief. Tristan has a friendly, relaxed style of teaching that made the lessons enjoyable and his approach of repeatedly looping back to topics to cement the knowledge was amazing. Sophie even started talking about geography around the dinner table – this had never happened before! With Tristan’s help, Sophie got a grade 7 in her GCSE and is now doing Geography at A-level. This grade was almost unthinkable in January – there is no way it would have been possible without Tristan. We are all hugely, hugely grateful to Tristan and cannot recommend him enough.

His patient, caring, and passionate approach helped my son not only understand Geography but also develop a genuine love for it.
