Great place, close and perfect to stay .. lovely

Bposhtels Houston. Rooms were clean. Fresh towel every day. Minimal secure storage available in the room. Service at front counter was hit and miss depending on who you got, but overall good. No breakfast one day, no compensation or explanation. Thumping DJ parties (one night with a laser light show) at night from approx 5pm to between 1030pm and 2am. This would not have been an issue had it been mentioned at the time of booking and I could have been prepared, not much fun after 24hrs of travelling. This also meant unless you joined into the party the outside area and pool were pretty unusable from 5pm. Food from the actual motel was really good. Pool was lovely, until after the thumping DJ pool parties when it was cloudy and smelt odd. Location for a hostel was ridiculous. No choice but to Uber everywhere or take the train at night into a neighbourhood we were repeatedly told not to walk around in, esp after dark. The “free gym pass” is a 10-15 min Uber ride to get to the gym. Unless you have a car spend the extra and stay in town. Overall it felt a little misrepresented in the advertised details when I booked compared to what it was. And not being refundable is now a red flag. Houston city was cool, other than NASA def the least touristy city so far, which was kinda cool.

Do not stay here! Place should be called "hostel" not "bposhtel" altho it is close!!! I booked and did not stay because the room turned out to be bunk beds with other people in it and they will use a fancy term to deter and they will not refund you either. They will give you a "corporate" number to call that is always "conveniently busy" an after so many days to make your claim they will tell you that the days are past and they can't do anything for you. $265.00 of my money gone. Location is scetchy and the roads are bad.
