We took an excursion to Water Island on our cruise and made the spontaneous decision to elope. The property itself is a serene island retreat — peaceful, private, and beautifully designed to let you fully disconnect. The beds were unbelievably comfortable; a fitting end to a day in paradise. Waking up to the calm, quiet energy of Water Island was pure bliss.
The location is outstanding — just minutes from one of the most beautiful beaches in the Virgin Islands. Being able to walk or take the golf cart to crystal-clear water and powdery sand while still feeling completely tucked away made the stay feel truly special. The property managers will actually go down to the beach in the morning and set up a cabana for you with anything you could possibly want for a day at the beach - from towels to snorkeling gear to pickleball rackets.
What really elevates the experience, though, are the small, thoughtful touches throughout the stay. Everything felt intentional — from the setup of the space to the services provided — creating a sense of luxury without ever losing the easygoing, authentic island vibe. It’s refined, comfortable, and relaxed all at once, which is hard to pull off but done perfectly here.

We can not give enough stars to accurately rate Lauren and water island weddings. We reached out to several other companies to do an elopement ceremony for us and none of them ever contacted us back. Lauren was the first to reply and we are so thankful that she did. Within the first 30 minutes of speaking to her, we had a ceremony planned that included, transportation to water island, photographer, the most beautiful villa to stay in for our wedding night (with food for the next morning), a golf cart to cruise the island, and genuinely the best customer service we have received on island. Lauren went out of her way to make sure we were happy and our ceremony was so beautiful and absolutely perfect for us. From start to finish everything we dreamed of was taken care of and all we had to do was show up. Highly recommend. Best prices, best person to work with hands down.

Lauren and her team with Water Island Weddings are SO FREAKING INCREDIBLE!!! 🤯 We stayed there in June and we could not get over how much care she poured into every detail of ur experience. Seriously- a personal boat captain?! Favorite treats?! Our own golf cart to get around?! This place is luxury meets jungle vibes surrounded by crystal clear Caribbean waters with a completely turn key experience. Beautiful touches & gestures from people who are fun & so thoughtful. We spent the week of 4th of July at Lil' Sugarbird Villa. Lauren had every detail of our vacation planned and ready including a taxi ride from the airport and a private charter from the marina over to the island. PLUS a golfcart waiting on us to get to the house (the walk wouldn't be bad, but the cart helped with luggage for sure). We placed a grocery order before we arrived, and the fridge was stocked with our favorites when we showed up. Different excursions were also hand picked for us and we were able to set them up on our own schedule. If/when I go back to the USVI I'll for sure be staying away from the more tourist heavy areas and sticking to Water Island, and hopefully Lil' Sugarbird.

Our elopement on Water Island was truly magical from start to finish. The scenery was breathtaking, being surrounded by white sand beaches, turquoise water, and stunning views that made every moment feel like a postcard. The ceremony felt intimate and personal, just the way we dreamed it.
Lauren and her team went above and beyond to make our day feel special, and we loved the unique charm and adventure that came with choosing a destination off the beaten path. Everything was handled for us, and it was nice not having to stress about the details like booking a makeup artist (Jazmin was amazing!), flowers, cake, dress, hair, ect. Lauren was there every step of the way! And gave me a gorgeous hairstyle as well. 😍
