Be careful I've attempted to sell certified coins on numerous occasions. The prices offered by them was considerably below what I received elsewhere Be careful. Shop around

Polite and good staff but they use just 1 source for silver spot price and it is always the lowest price, then they reduce the price even more for hire amounts of silver. So it’s always better to sell 1 oz over anything 2 oz and up. Doesn’t really make sense. When I went and sold silver it was spotted at 31 and some change from 10 different sources. But the source they use had silver at 30. I know it’s not a crazy difference but when you’re selling a lot of silver at once it adds up.

Hi Vincent thanks for the message. We use the NYMEX live spot price for both buying and selling bullion, this is a generally accepted practice in the coin/bullion market. Some online competitors show a higher spot price on their site as they're primarily selling metals, rather than both buying and selling like we do. We are constantly checking our competitors prices and are confident that we pay the strongest prices for bullion, scrap jewelry and rare coins within a nearly 100 mile radius of Toledo, as we have since 1980.

This company has always treated me very fair and I think they are very honest. I've been to other places around to sell gold & silver but Toledo coin exchange is by far the only place I'll go for my gold & silver.

I was interested to visit Toledo Coin again after getting the former PCGS president as the new owner; I'd had some bad experiences there before after being brushed off, talked down to, and not taken seriously. Unfortunately, nothing had changed. The counter guy that I ended up with immediately assumed I didn't know what I was talking about. He didn't look at any of the dates on my coins or ask anything about them before just banging his finger into them one by one telling me "this one is worth 7 cents; this is a $1". When I even asked him to take a look at the collar error on one of the wheat cents he proceeded to mansplain to me how coins are made and collar errors occur! If I KNOW it's a collar error, why are you trying to dumb down and teach me? OH, so you could tell me how it really wasn't worth anything! Literally every single coin I had (those that he deigned to look at) was, to him, "just not a market for it". meanwhile, the exact same coin I had was in the display right where they were selling it for $125!!! Is it because I'm a numiswomatic? Or just sleezy low-balling to pay the least amount possible? Either way, horrible treatment. Again. TIP: If you update your website to say you buy all these coins, so I come in with one of the lowest mintage rarest variable of that coin, and I hear how it's worthless, MAYBE TAKE IT OFF THE WEBSITE AS SOMETHING YOU BUY. Besides, I know exactly how much that coin is worth - always test your dealers!! Know exactly what you have so when you walk in there and get this dismal nonsense you know to W.A.L.K. O.U.T.
