Amazing Resort
My husband, youngest son, and I stayed 3 nights in Cliffside cabin #3 at the end of June. From making my initial reservations to our arrival and stay, everything was perfect. Communication was great. Our cabin was immaculate and well-furnished. The resort and facilities were well-maintained with plenty of things to do and minutes from Voyageur National Park. I have no complaints and wish we had more time to enjoy the area. This is definitely a location that I am considering for a trip with my extended family.

Outstanding staff
I gave them five stars for two reasons. Their employees, Joe and Josh. Those two made our stay great. Friendly, extremely helpful, and fun. They are probably the main reason we would book again at The Pines. As far as the resort itself I would give it 4 stars.
Pros:
Friendly staff, nice marina, quiet, excellent RV hookups, very clean shower/restrooms, fast internet, good fishing, dog friendly, very orderly assisted check in. They meet you at your RV and transport you via electric golf cart to the office. Then back to your rig and help you get in place at your campsite.
Cons:
Spendy. Everything seems a bit expensive. Sites will cost you 25% to 30% more than other resorts on the lake, plus a boat slip is not included (extra $20 daily), Ice $5 for about 4 lbs, firewood $9 a bundle.
No boat launch on site. You have to go to the public landing just up the road.
Very scarey STEEP hill up to the bluff sites, minuscule beach area and no pool.
If you go, I'd reserve a lake level site. They are adequate in size and the bluff sites are expensive plus the road going up and down is sketchy. A premier site comes with a golf cart included but the premium sites do not. (Available for another $35 daily) If you don't have young legs, walking up and down the big hill will get old fast. Overall had a good time, enjoyed ourselves. Would go back.

Great Family Vacation Spot
The Pines of Kabetogama is a great place to stay when exploring Voyageurs National Park. We stayed in Cliffside Cabin #2. It was beautiful, spacious and clean. Our friends stayed in their RV and had amazing views. The staff and owners were great and very helpful. We brought our own boat and rented a slip while our friends rented a pontoon. Our kids loved the water trampoline, and volleyball as well. Would love to stay here again!

Perfect location for a visit to Voyageurs National Park. Glamper was ideal for my wife and I. We have never stayed in a camper before but it was really nice, clean, and has everything you need. Made for a special trip.

Fishing trip to lake Kabetogama
Very nice campground and the owner and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Louis was very helpful in resolving problems with our boat motor. The campsite was very more than adequate for our fifth wheel and we had a reserved boat slip which was very handy.

Wonderful campground/resort!
I cannot even begin to describe how wonderful this place is! I don't know the exact numbers of RV sites & cabins, but our "clifftop" RV spot had plenty of room for us to spread out & lots of grass for our dog. The owners Jason & Sarah were welcoming & hospitable, & Jason even helped us remove the dolly for our tow vehicle. The grounds, right on the shore of Lake Kabetogama, are just beautiful. While we didn't take advantage, the availability of rental boats is a plus. This is the place. Go here, play here, stay here.

We spent 9/03-9/06 at this beautiful resort. Cabin #3 was super clean & had everything you needed. The owner at the office was very friendly & helpful in answering our questions. The view of the lake & the stars are amazing. We even got to see the Northern Lights! Would love to go back!

Wonderfully run campground! The location to Voyageurs National Park, the peace and beauty is unparalleled! If you are staying cliffside be prepared for a steep drive up and down. Take advantage of the walking trails that are in the campground.

It's a must-go for the summer!
This place was previously unknown to us but as soon as I heard about it from a close source, we had to try it out. We rented the RVGlamper for 3 nights in late July and we definitely had the best spot in the place! The RV was luxurious, well stocked with everything you need for "camping", and included a golf cart to get around the property. The lake view and property was beautiful... but the stars were the real show. The staff was fabulous and accommodating, even coming to help us light the RV stove right before closing up the office one evening. Private deck, fire pit, and BBQ grill are all bonuses. Besides all that, it's a short hop to all of Voyageurs National Park visitor centers. There are also close-by general stores with anything you forgot to bring. It's a must-go!

Great cabin for family trip!
Our family of 6 (3 kids, 2 parents, 1 grandparent) enjoyed the Paul Bunyan cabin with PLENTY of room to spare. We especially enjoyed the use of the golf carts, the swimming raft in the lake, and the canoe/kayak/SUP rentals. We explored the area, mainly on land, and realized that next time we were in the area, we would definitely plan to have a boat. Would have been nice to be able to rent a boat from this resort for several hours instead of the whole day, but that was not an option.

We rented a fishing boat for two days. Fishing was tough, but heard if you went with a guide they'd find you some fish. The campground is also close to one of the parks visitors center. Besides fishing boats, you can rent a pontoon boat. I believe they had kayaks and canoes to rent as well. Bait is available on site as well as a nice fish cleaning station. There is a small store, but a General Store is within 5 miles. You can get your fishing licenses there (General Store off site). All in all, we had a great week and would definitely go back

We stayed in a lake level RV site. The lake itself was beautiful but the RV site was just ok. We were very close to our neighbors and the site was not level. All the lake toys also cost extra money. For $75 a night, I expected a little bit more.
The bathrooms were super clean. The wifi was pretty good. The water was a little rusty. And the laundry was super expensive.

Some friends and I stayed in the Paul Bunyan cabin at the Pines of Kabetogama while visiting Voyageurs national park and loved it! The staff is very friendly and gave us great recommendations of things to do while in the area. There’s lots of fun things to do on the property like paddle boarding, canoeing, corn hole, and big fire pits right by the water that are perfect to watch the sunset over the lake. The cabin was beautiful and we loved having the option to rent a variety of boats from them while we were there. We really enjoyed a day out on the lake in one of their pontoons. Everything was reasonably priced and in great condition, highly recommend!

Great RV Resort
We had a wonderful time at The Pines. The staff here are amazing and so helpful. We had an issue with our camper and they let us have something delivered to the office. They were helpful when we tried to find a private boat tour of the Voyaguers National park after the national park service cancelled their tours last minute. My kids loved swimming in the lake and playing on the playground. The office shop has some basics as well as some local goods. Very close to the national park visitor centers and amazing lake access. The cliff side spots are spaced well, the bathrooms are clean and the WiFi worked well. We can’t wait to go back
