My partner and I had the loveliest stay, despite the horrid weather! Beautiful surroundings, spotless and cosy living space showing a lot of attention to detail. Gavin was extremely friendly and welcoming. He kindly took care of preparing the fire for the hot tub in advance, so that we could enjoy the hot water the moment we came back from hiking. The complimentary prosecco was definitely a plus, as well as the beautiful sauna cabin. Highly recommended!

Hilden Gem! We arrived in the midst of Storm Claudia, and Gavin was incredibly helpful from the moment we got there — even meeting us with two big umbrellas to make check-in easy and stress-free.The place is exactly as described and matches the photos perfectly. They had even pre-heated the hot tub for us, left fresh eggs from their happy chickens, and a lovely bottle of fizz waiting inside. Such thoughtful touches!The bed was super comfy, the whole space felt welcoming, and we genuinely loved our stay. We’d be more than happy to come back again. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely stay here, the hosts were very friendly and welcoming and gave us a complimentary bottle of Prosecco, eggs and oat milk. We instantly felt right at home. The place was spotless and spacious and cosy, everything you need for a peaceful weekend away, and the hot tub is a bonus. The town is very close by and we went out for dinner on Saturday, was a short drive away. We’d definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing few days away :)
We had an amazing few days at this stunning location.
Nil & Gavin were amazing hosts, they literally couldn’t do enough for us.
They are super friendly, approachable and really reliable. They have a really chill vibe, which we loved- it felt like home instantly.
I couldn’t recommend them enough, it’s clear to see they absolutely love hosting people.
We stayed in the shepherds hut this time which was perfect for the two of us and our little dog, we made a lot of use of the sauna and hot tub.
On the first night we booked the cheese & meat board which was beautiful whilst playing cards listening to the nature.
And the second day (my personal favourite) we had an alpaca walk followed by an afternoon tea!
It’s really amazing how well they look after their animals here.
The alpacas are so friendly and cute.
We are already looking at when we can go again.
Next time we are intrigued to try the barn although we loved the sheppards hut so much!
If you need a lovely, relaxing trip for a few nights this is the perfect spot
The hosts are amazing and lovely people. They helped my boyfriend (now FIANCÉ!) propose and it was the most beautiful moment. We both cannot thank you enough and we will definitely be back. The accommodation is extremely thought through and is cosy and welcoming. We 100% recommend this stay!

What a lovely place! My partner and I stayed with our Dachshund for 2 nights. So chilled and private it was so relaxing. Made use of the hot tub which was delightful. This had everything we needed and allowed us to have an amazing weekend. Gavin was brilliant over message and responded really quickly to any questions I had. The alpacas were also great entertainment!

On its own, this would already be a lovely comfortable, peaceful place to stay, easy to find, minutes away from amenities and with two very attentive hosts. Add in the entertainment of alpacas, ducks, chickens... and it's even nicer. But I think it was the moment in the evening when we were sat outside in a deliciously warm, fire-heated hot tub... and the lights blinked off, leaving us looking up at a ring of clear sky, full of stars... that we realised that life doesn't really get much better! Thanks both, we'll be back :)
We did the alpaca walk and afternoon tea for my husbands birthday. Nilesh and Gavin were so welcoming and hospitable.
We had a lovely time walking the Alpacas, an experience we both loved.
The afternoon tea was amazing, and left with full tummy’s and couldn’t even eat it all.

We had a wonderful two-night stay at Stay Balanced in Newport. From the moment we arrived, everything felt calm and considered. The space was beautifully set up for relaxation, and the highlight was definitely the hot tub - preheated for us in advance, which was such a thoughtful touch, and perfectly accompanied by the complementary prosecco!The freshly laid hen eggs for breakfast the morning after were an absolute triumph as well. 😍Every detail felt personal and intentional, making it the perfect escape. Highly recommend for anyone needing a restorative break.
