I had my first experience with that Ultrasound clinic earlier today. The service I received was worthy of 50 stars, not 5. From the reception (Rafat) to the specialist who performed the ultrasound, they were polite, helpful and informative every step of the way. Strongly recommended without the slightest hesitation!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT! Machine was not working when I arrived - big disappointment. They didn't even take the time to call me upfront to let me know

At our clinic, we work with high-tech medical equipment, which allows us to offer advanced services—but like all sophisticated technology, occasional and unforeseen issues can arise. We service and maintain our machines frequently and thoroughly to ensure optimal performance. In your case, the 3D imaging engine had recently been serviced and was functioning well until an unexpected issue occurred shortly before your appointment. Unfortunately, we were not aware of the fault until just before your scan. Our ultrasound specialist offered you a high-definition 2D scan as an alternative, and our clinical director also extended an offer for a complimentary 2D scan in light of the situation. We understand and respect that you declined this offer, though we regret that we were unable to meet your expectations on this occasion. Please accept our sincere apologies. My mum booked a scan to have a worrying health issue looked at sooner rather than waiting for the nhs times. When we arrived we weren’t greeted or even acknowledged that we had arrived. Instead all we could hear were two women chatting in one of the rooms behind. Our appt was 12.40, but as per the website we got there ten minutes early ( I would presume this was to fill out the necessary forms.) When I then went to ask the ladies if we were in the right place, I was told she would be with us in “2 minutes”. She then came out at 12.40 with the forms to fill out, putting the appt back. She then told my mum to come to the room once done, to which my mum went in and the lady was on the phone to another client! My mum felt the whole experience was rushed, not much info given and on the whole, a bad appt. We travelled an hour to get to this clinic. We then had to chase for the results as the website states within 24 hours and we had heard nothing. So Sunday we ended up calling 3 times to find out where the results were so we could take them to the doctors Monday morning. We kept being told “they will be with you this evening” well over the 24 hour stated time! To pay nearly £200 for a scan, when it’s your health that’s the concern and have the lack of professionalism or understanding is beyond me. We went with this clinic because of the reviews, but I can tell you now we will not be returning, nor shall we be recommending to anyone we know. They didn’t have a clue when retrieving the results which just added more stress to the situation. Absolutely ridiculous company!!

We take all concerns seriously and would like to clarify a few important points regarding your visit. Firstly, we understand the confusion at arrival. Our clinic is located within a shared medical premises alongside a GP surgery. The front-desk staff on the ground floor belong to the GP practice and are not part of the Phoenix Ultrasound team. Patients are usually advised to take a seat upon arrival, and our own clinical staff collect them at their scheduled appointment time. We apologise if this wasn’t communicated clearly, and we will review how this is presented on our website and appointment confirmations to avoid future misunderstandings. Regarding the form-filling process: even if you completed an online form beforehand, certain intimate or sensitive scans require an additional paper consent form to be signed in person, as per medical regulations. This ensures full patient understanding and compliance with clinical governance requirements. In terms of your scan time, your appointment was at 12:40 PM and your mum was called promptly at that time. Our admin briefly answered a call from another patient before beginning the scan, which we understand may have felt rushed. Please rest assured that our clinicians aim to provide both a thorough and respectful service, including a verbal summary of the findings immediately after the scan was completed. With regard to the report turnaround, we strive to send 98% of reports within 24 hours. In your mum’s case, the scan took place on a Saturday afternoon and the report was delivered by 4:15 PM on Sunday—just a few hours outside the 24-hour window. We regret any inconvenience this caused, particularly as you were planning to visit your GP on Monday. We are truly sorry that your experience fell short of the standards we aim to uphold. Your feedback will be used as a learning opportunity for our team. We understand your frustration, and while we are disappointed that you will not be returning, we respect your decision and wish your mum all the best with her health. The booking process was easy with availability for the next day at a very convenient location. The sonographer, Elham, was professional, friendly and understanding and explained all aspects of the scan in detail, answering any questions I had. The Phoenix staff were welcoming and helpful. All images and a report were available on the same day. I would highly recommend this service. Thank you.

I was able to get a same day appointment even though it was late in the afternoon. They were professional, courteous, understanding, and thorough. I was actually traveling in London from the U.S. and there was absolutely no hesitation to get me in and have the scans that I needed. When I needed to get copies of my scans, the chat personnel were fabulous and got me what I needed.

Fantastic service, next day appointment, explained clearly during the scan and information available to look at via email the same day, so very reassuring. Good value for money and very reasonable cost, would definitely recommend.
