Been there once and may not return. The food was acceptable, Pork ribs are great. But their cocktails are just too bad so I feel disappointed by that. And the variety is just too limited, I can barely see greens in their menu. I love Chinese foods but I still think they have space too improve
The staff was very welcoming, and I loved the chef's special pork ribs and the spicy beef with chillies stir fry!!! I will definitely come back to taste other Northern China dishes!

TLDR: As an authentic Chinese, this place was not it. Please go to China to get an authentic experience.
More details:
Rice was horrendous, dry and crumbly, not jasmine.
Dishes portions were small for the price paid.
Dishes were much too salty without any flavour from the actual ingredients coming through.
"Hot" dishes with chilis indicated were not spicy in any way. I, a person who can't eat spice, ate the Mala Hot Pot and beef strips fine. If this was authentic, I would've died.
Virgin Mojito looked like someone casually grabbed leaves from a tree outside and threw them in some soda water. There were sugar granules at the bottom. Crunchy. No lime taste, no mint taste, no lime wedges, just soda.
As a Chinese person who grew up eating authentic Chinese food at home, this was trash.
I respect what they're trying to do and they're right, westernised Chinese food is not authentic Chinese food, but they really need to up their game.

Thanks for your honest feedback! We’re sorry you didn’t enjoy the rice. Spiciness can be very subjective, some find it blazing while others find it mild. And the Virgin Mojito? We agreed it needed improvement and the new version is much better!
So we went here for dinner and firstly the food tasted amazing, the service was okay and the restaurant itself looked lovely. However, I felt as if they were missing a head waiter to direct the staff around because it took about 20 -30 minutes for a drink and there wasn’t a proper bartender either leading to longer wait times. The tables are extremely sticky too and the napkin actually stuck to the table which brings questions, do they change the napkins occasionally if a person who’s sat there hasn’t used it?. The toilets also had a really bad pipe smell. What has really put me off is that I actually found hair in my food and that put me off my whole experience. We will most likely not be coming back.

You clearly have excellent taste! 😄 Thanks so much, we’re glad you enjoyed it!
First of all I have to say the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The restaurant was about a third full when we went.
We were really put off with how sticky the table was - to the point where the paper napkin ripped when I lifted it off. I mentioned it to two of the staff who both said they knew it was a problem!
A couple of times I lifted my phone off the table and it made a tearing sound - really icky.
The food was just ok. The menu, especially the starters was very high on fried things. No soups at all.
There were a couple of vegetarian main meals but no vegetable side dishes at all, so no tasty bean sprout or broccoli sides to add a bit of bite to the meal.
I had fried calamari to start which was greasy and floppy but tasted quite nice. My first two choices of main course weren’t available. I tried to order beef with scrambled egg but was told I wouldn’t like it!!
My main of beef in black bean sauce was just that - very little onion, two pieces of pepper and no chilli at all. Very salty and not very warm. Edible but not great.
My husband had salt and pepper chips to start as there really weren’t many starter options. They were tasty enough but a bit soggy.
His chicken curry came with battered chicken and what tasted like packet curry sauce. There was not so much as a piece of onion in his curry to add interest. He ate it saying it was fine enough but not as good as he could get at home.
Sadly we won’t be back.

Thanks for your feedback! The sticky tables have now been fixed. Regarding the curry, it should include onions and carrots, and we’ve now put stricter product control in place to ensure this issue doesn’t happen again. We appreciate your comments!
I was really excited to get some real Chinese food in Aberdeen, but I think this place is still figuring things out.
The wait was quite long, and the stir fried spicy beef came a bit cold, and also needed to be a bit more intense in flavour to go with the rice.
The mala hot pot did not have a lot of depth of flavour, and did not come with any of the dipping sauces advertised on the menu.
Maybe the more classic northeastern style dishes would have been better.
Servers were all very nice and attentive. I didn't complain about the problems as we had to rush to catch our train after the wait.
I have given 3 stars as I think this place could be good and I didn't give them a chance to correct, but at the minute maybe they need a more regionally focused menu that they can do really well, like some of the great Chinese restaurants around Glasgow university.

A really great mixture of authenticity and traditionally British Chinese food. Really friendly staff and nice atmosphere. I recommend the crispy aromatic duck as it was a really generous portion and tasted wonderful.

Lovely restaurant with fresh and tasty food. Service was great, the server was able to provide good recommendations. I’ve been twice and enjoyed it both times. In this picture I have the mala hotpot and spicy potato salad. I definitely recommend!
