We stopped here for surf lessons and for my teen boys to surf. Good spot for a beginner to catch some waves. Some trees on the shore provided shade to those not surfing. Parking is on the opposite side of the road so crossing a busy road was a little tricky.

Great beginner surf spot with just enough beach space so you can take a break after few rides and then go back out to catch more waves. A little tricky cause you have to park in the other side of the "highway"/street and go over guard rails to get to the beach. But all things considered a very worthwhile spot if you're just catching the surf bug.

We visited this beach to watch our son and his family take surf lessons. What a fun time. Our grandsons, 10 and 12, had a great time learning tips about surfing. They rode a few waves before wiping out but they got right back on the board to go again. Their instructor was Mario who was so patient and encouraging.
