Today we were very fortunate. While visiting Hercegkút to explore the fascinating underground wine cellars, we happened upon one that was open, where two young men were busy loading wine bottles inside.
We asked if it might be possible to have a look around, and we were warmly welcomed by Péter, whom we soon discovered to be the young owner and founder of the winery.
He kindly spent a generous amount of time with us, explaining his wines and offering us a tasting of much of his production.
We were truly impressed by this talented young winemaker, who produces wine with clear passion and a distinctive character, skillfully blending innovation with tradition.
It is genuinely heartwarming to encounter such a dedicated and enthusiastic individual. If you’re travelling in the area, we wholeheartedly recommend making a detour to visit this small yet captivating vineyard.
