Unfortunately I was given no other options with my home warranty and moving forward, I will more than likely pay out of pocket to avoid this plumbing company. The original issue was a slow pour when the water was turned to hot in a couple sinks, but in the kitchen especially. First visit - didn’t fix issue, instead the tech Aaron says the faucet is broken, and got a replacement from Moen which delayed the job another two weeks. Aaron also quoted me $290 to fix a “leak” in the bathroom. A leak I fixed with a $2 roll of plumbers tape. Then they came back out for the second time, this time to install the faucet. Aaron replaced the faucet, to which he replied confidently that the job was done. I turned on the water and it was clearly not fixed, it was not at all better than before they came out the first time. I showed him that his fix did not work, so he says he was going to try something else. He did what he did whatever he did, then told me that more than likely my entire system would need to be flushed out at a cost of $1500 and up and that my home warranty wouldn’t cover that. He had me sign their slip, left with the problem not resolved, at all, and to no surprise the problem got even worse within 2 hours of them installing the faucet. So not only did they not fix the issue, they made it worse, and it took two visits for them to accomplish that. Doing what I should have done before hiring them, I went to YouTube, searched “slow hot water kitchen sink” watched a THREE MINUTE video on a solution, did what the video said and wouldn’t you know it, fixed it perfect. Three minute video, 5 minutes of my time tops to fix it. Nothing like wasting the service visit payment, and two separate visits of my time totaling almost three hours, but this issue was clearly something a plumber should know how to do. Instead, they didn’t fix the issue, and then proceeded to try to tell me it would cost $290 to fix a leak, and $1500 or more to “flush” the system. Come on. Clearly being the provider for the warranty company enables them to try to upsell services at gouging prices, but it didn’t work on me and was so blatantly obvious what they were doing. The whole time, both visits, his attitude just wasn’t very great, at all. The assistants on the other hand (maybe apprentices) were very nice. I’m not sure if it was the drive in or if this was just an inconvenient job that didn’t pay well, and I understand customer service isn’t priority one for a plumbing company, but a customer shouldn’t be made to feel like they’re an inconvenience. I’ve included photos of how it was when they left it, how it was after I fixed it, and what I flushed out of the single hot water hose under the sink. Do yourself a favor, find a plumbing company that wants to help, and knows what they’re doing. I also called 2 local plumbers to ask how much they would charge to flush out the entire water system, and was quoted $450 and $575 about $1000 less but also told this rarely is ever needed. If my warranty company doesn’t find alternate providers I will switch companies, because Ferguson and Sons is not looking at doing the job right, they’re looking to upsell. ::: UPDATE - as expected they take ZERO accountability. Nothing I did was a temporary solution. They are a sham company, that looks to Take advantage of anyone who has a home warranty. Also, read their response, they recommend I get a soft water system when I ALREADY HAVE ONE. Their technicians are incompetent and act like they are doing you a favor by even showing up. The person responding to the reviews wasn’t here and I have recorded what Aaron stated about the faucet. They are literally making up a response to not appear liable for the shoddy job they did. This place took everything and made it worse, point blank. What a joke of a company.

Good afternoon Mr. Schricker, first thank you for providing your feedback, we do appreciate that. I apologize that you were not satisfied with the visits and that there was still an issue. I would like to offer some clarity, the faucet wasn't broken, the issue was that the cartridge could not be removed due to extreme sediment build up which is why Moen sent the replacement directly to you. On the first visit out, Aaron disconnected the supply lines from the stops under the sink and the water pressure was great which could mean that the sediment was blown out during testing, this was an indication that there was a further issue with the faucet (sediment build up). After the replacement of the faucet, you still had low pressure which caused him to pull the supply lines again and at this point he found additional sediment build up. The blowout of the water lines is not covered by the warranty company but is highly recommended due to the amount of sediment that is still coming out of your lines. He wasn't trying to upsell you, he was trying to help prevent any further issues resulting from sediment build up throughout your house. As far as the leak, we are also glad that plumbers tape worked as a temporary fix, again we were trying to offer a more long term solution, which you as the consumer and homeowner have every right to deny and do yourself. We do recommend eventually changing out that pop up assembly completely though. While we are sad that you were not satisfied with our services, we are glad that you were able to restore them at a much lower cost. Even though you will not be using our company, we highly encourage you to look into a water softening system as well as a whole house water line blowout, from a company of your choosing, to avoid any further issues caused by the already extreme sediment build up. UPDATE: A new plumber came out, with no sealant on any connection points, and missing bolts from the main collar on the garbage disposal. This company failed to do its job! Poor quality of work. Nothing wrong with the disposal. Just poor service. This is a company that does not stand by their work. I had the misfortune of having them replace a garbage disposal that is leaking because it was not installed correctly, called them to discuss and conveniently enough I was told they do not service Hewitt anymore.

Good Morning Mr. McIntyre, as we explained yesterday, we stopped servicing everywhere north of Troy as of March 1, 2024 so you are no longer in our service area. We also installed your garbage disposal back on 1/16/24 and it is now 5/10/24 (you called on 5/9). You have a 30 day warranty with us as well as a 30 day recall time frame with your warranty company. On top of that, you have a 2 year manufacturer warranty through Emerson if something goes wrong, such as the new unit starts leaking. Labor is included in the 30 day warranty but not the 2 year warranty. Your disposal was installed correctly, unfortunately sometimes products have manufacturer defects, which is why they offer a 2 year warranty. I hope this clarifies it for you a little better, have a great day!

These guys were sent by Choice Home Warranty and told me that my outside water spigot was not covered, charging me $200 to replace it. That was bad enough for a few minutes labor and $20 in parts, but the new one froze in the on position six months later. They don't warranty their work or parts for more than 30 days. This part was clearly defective. I replaced it myself for less than $20. They may be competent, which accounts for the good reviews, but don't expect them to back up what they sell. Outside hose bibs rarely need replacing and they gave me a bad one and overcharged for it. Reply to response from owner: I did protect the hose bib from freezes as I always do. It froze up without any external factor which tells me it was either low quality since that has never happened anywhere I have lived before, or it was defective. When I say I replaced it myself with $20 in parts it included a back flow preventer. And you still charged me $199 for it. That $60 was the service fee for choice is irrelevant. I till wrote you a check for $199 for a defective part. 30 days is not standard and is ridiculously short. Another plumber who installed a loop for me came back 9 months later at no charge because of a problem. You clearly have a "customer is always wrong" approach to doing business from other complaints I see here. In my business I give people the benefit of the doubt and I would definitely offer to replace something that didn't las a year or offer a refund.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, we appreciate both positive and negative as it helps us to better our services. I would like to add some clarification to this though. We do offer a 30 day warranty, which is the same that your warranty company offers - this is listed at the bottom of the invoice as well. We went to the property in September 2023 and you called us back 7 months later in April 2024, which is 6 months outside of the warranty that was provided. During this time frame, we had multiple freezes between December and January and if they are not properly protected, that can cause issues with the internal mechanisms that may not present themselves immediately. You paid $199 for the replacement of your hosebib, that also included your $60 service fee from Choice Home Warranty which we normally don't do- which brings the replacement down to $139. The hosebib that was replaced originally was not a standard hosebib, it has a built in back flow preventer and our cost on those, from a reputable plumbing supply house, is $35-$40 not including the markup or retail labor. We understand how frustrating it can be when a part fails, especially outside of the warranty time frame, but that would be more of an issue with the manufacture of the part, not with our installation. I quite like the fact that I was contacted before my service to inform me of who my technicians would be and a timeline for arrival. Matt and Joseph were timely, very professional, and quick. I told them the issue, they fixed it, cleaned up after themselves, and went to their next job. I would definitely recommend this company's services.

I have dealt with a few plumbers in the last 14 months in Texas and Ferguson's has been by far the best!!! Steve was amazing!!! He was on time. He explained what and why he was doing what he was doing and cleaned his mess!!! The girls in the office are equally amazing!!! Highly recommend!!!

I placed a work order with American Home Shield to have my toilet serviced. Ferguson and Sons was very prompt and kept a great line of communication. My service technician, Steve, was very professional and fixed my problem in less than 15 minutes. My toilet is currently working great and I am very satisfied. If I have any other plumbing issues in the future, I hope American Home Shield, assigns Ferguson and Sons.

Put in a service call with my warranty company on a Tuesday. Warranty sent me a notice of my issue was assigned to Ferguson&Son's that day. So I waited until Thursday after noon (about 48hours) to go ahead and call them myself because I never received a call to schedule services. The operator did not seem the least interested in the fact that I had not received a call to schedule services. Then she comes back to tell me it'll be another four days business days until they can get someone out. Seven BUSINESS days to wait for someone to stop by seems a little excessive to me. Guess the warranty calls go to the back of the line.

We did receive your job Tuesday late afternoon and typically you would have been called within 24-48 hours; unfortunately with the 2 major holidays that we just had and the upcoming inclement weather this weekend, we are unusually busy so everyone is being scheduled about a week out.
