A trip of a lifetime!
This was, without question, one of the best trips I've ever taken. From the moment we booked until we flew home, the entire Climb Kili team made everything feel effortless. We had a few last-minute travel logistics issues before arriving, and Tiffany was incredible. She was flexible, pragmatic, responsive, and genuinely invested in making sure everything worked out. That level of care continued throughout the entire experience. Our lead guide, Emmanuel, was exceptional. Calm, knowledgeable, encouraging, and endlessly patient, he always seemed to know exactly what our group needed. Erick (with a K!) was our assistant guide, and he was just as fantastic. Together they made an incredible team. We always felt completely safe, well cared for, and like our experience truly mattered. What stood out most wasn't just their professionalism. It was how much they genuinely love the mountain. You could tell Kilimanjaro isn't just a job for them. It's something they're incredibly proud of. Emmanuel and Erick seemed to know everyone on the mountain, and it was amazing to see the sense of community among the guides and porters. Their passion was contagious, and it made the experience feel so much more personal. The entire crew deserves recognition. Our porters, chef, and everyone behind the scenes worked unbelievably hard while somehow making everything look effortless. Camp was always set up before we arrived, our gear was handled with incredible care, the meals were excellent, and every little detail was taken care of. My friend and I never had to think about anything. We could just focus on enjoying the climb and being present. One thing that really impressed me was how well the team balanced ambition with safety. We reached Uhuru Peak as the second group that morning, but it never felt like we were being rushed or pushed beyond our limits. Instead, it felt like we were with a team that simply knew exactly what they were doing. They knew how to pace the climb, when to encourage us, and how to get us to the summit safely. That confidence and experience made all the difference. Most importantly, we always felt like people, not just clients. Our questions, preferences, and well-being genuinely mattered, and that made what could have been a bucket-list adventure feel surprisingly personal. After the climb, we continued on safari with Benny, who was just as outstanding. His knowledge of the wildlife was incredible, but what really stood out was the genuine affection and respect he has for the animals. We were fortunate enough to see the Big Five, often from incredibly close, and Benny worked tirelessly to help us experience everything we hoped for while always making sure both we and the animals were safe. His excitement was infectious, and it was obvious how proud he is of both his country and his work. The pre- and post-trip transportation and logistics were also fantastic. The team stayed flexible when our plans changed, made everything easy, and handled every detail without ever making it feel stressful. Looking back, what I'll remember most isn't just summiting Kilimanjaro or seeing the Big Five. It's the people who made those experiences so special. Every single member of the Climb Kili team made us feel welcome, cared for, and genuinely excited to be there. If I ever return to Tanzania, I wouldn't spend a second looking at another company. I'd book with Climb Kili again in a heartbeat. Thank you to Emmanuel, Erick, Benny, Tiffany, our chef, our incredible porters, and everyone else who made this unforgettable. You gave us memories we'll carry with us for the rest of our lives.
Climb Kili was the best decision!
Highly recommend Climb Kili! I wish I could give them 10 stars not 5! Not only they treat their employees well but the crew is exceptional. Our guide Seraphin was very knowledgeable I was so impressed of how professional he is and his >30y experience on the mountain. The Kosovo camp advantage is no joke, I was so so grateful for it. Trust me, you will be too! I am so happy I booked with them and not the other company influencers push on social media. I saw their camp, I saw ours and I was very grateful I was with Climb Kili!!! I also want to mention Frank the assistant guide, Hans in charge of tents, Emmanuel our waiter, our chef for making me the most amazing Birthday Cake at 4600m (it was delicious!) and all the porters who were extremely professional and genuinely happy to help us! Thank you Climb Kili!!!! Asante sana!
Best way to summit Kilimanjaro
Summited Kilimanjaro with ClimbKili and it was worth it! Our guide Gabriel and his assistant Joshua were both fantastic, and the rest of the staff including the porters and the waiter Fokas and chef Bryson were all wonderful too. The Lemosho 8 day trek is ideal for successfully summiting the mountain, we barely felt altitude sickness until near the top with the many opportunities to acclimatize at 15k ft etc. The food was great, especially the amazing soup when we were cold the night after a long hiking day. The Lemosho trek was very scenic and tons of beauty on each day. It was just my partner and I with the group, no other guests in our party. So it was nice being able to go at our own pace. The Kosovo camp advantage was completely worth it, not just having a headstart and not having to climb a steep annoying stony trail for the first part, but also go down it on an already difficult returnβit was clutch. Only criticisms would be our tent (the amount of times the zipper would malfunction was pretty frustrating) and the tipping ceremony at the end was pretty awkward. You basically determine the amount each worker gets, so we had our guide decide a pre-determined amount, and then announce each tip to the group. Even as tip-friendly Americans it seemed awkward. But it seemed like a cultural thing as other groups were doing the same. Despite that it didnβt diminish from a 5* experience. If you want to summit Kilimanjaro, can spare the 8 days and want the best success rate, this is the way to go.
An unforgettable, expertly managed expedition
Climbing Kilimanjaro was the challenge of a lifetime, and this team executed it perfectly. The pacing was expert, the camp setups were highly efficient, and the guidance through critical points like the Shira Plateau and the Barranco Wall was top-tier. Even when dealing with unexpected travel fatigue and environmental conditions before the gates opened, the crewβs support was seamless. Head guide John and his assistant guide Florian lead an elite group that prioritizes safety, logistics, and a great team environment.

Unforgettable 4 Days in the Serengeti!
An absolutely incredible 4-day safari. The game drives were expertly handled, allowing us to see an amazing abundance of wildlife across the savannah. The logistics were seamless, the accommodation was excellent, and our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, reading the terrain perfectly to put us in the best spots for viewing. It was the perfect way to experience the magic of the Serengeti.
Best Guides & Crew, Well Supported and Fed All the Way to the Top!
We had an AMAZING honeymoon adventure experience with Climb Kili doing the 7-day Machame route. First, our guides Alfred Msinga and Leonard were top notch guides; they were so caring and thoughtful, as was our entire crew. We loved having dinners with them every night. They took such good care of us and fed us well. What makes Climb Kili really stand out is that the private toilet is included. There is also the Kosovo Advantage -- before summit night, we stayed at a camp at a higher elevation that made summit night much easier. Our guides even offered to carry our day packs on summit night. Climb Kili also picked us up at the airport at 2am. Everything was seamless and the staff was very responsive to all our requests. It was a trip we will remember for the rest of our lives!

Climb Kili is the Best!
What an amazing trip! I chose Climb Kili for several reasons: 1. locally owned; 2. hires only union porters; 3. limits groups to 6 people; 4. for summit night camps at Kosovo camp which is 100 meters in elevation higher than the camp most groups use. What I didn't realize was how terrific the guides would be! Herment, the senior guide, has summited over 200 times. He knew every inch of the trail. He also knew all about the flora and fauna and the geological history of the mountain. More than that, he understood how to support and encourage trekkers. While I'm in good shape, and have high altitude experience (Everest Base Camp), I am 72. Herment conveyed a sense of calm support to me and the other trekkers in my group. After the tough second day when I expressed concern about whether I could make it to the summit, Herment was reassuring. And the junior guide, Paul, was also there every step of the way. The food was excellent and the crew was so good that we started taking camp setup and meals for granted. There was a clear concern for safety. Starting the 3rd night Herment and Paul measured our blood Oxygen levels and heat rates to make sure we were doing OK (we all were doing fine). Herment also led us in song and had the crew dancing on several occasions. Surprisingly, the hardest part of the trek for me was not climbing to the summit but the descent. My legs lost much of their strength on the way down. Herment stayed with me every step of the way until we were safely at camp. Two things to note. First, I was surprised by how cold it was at night. I live in Chicago and Vermont so I'm used to cold weather. However, once the sun set, the temperature plummeted. In part because of the altitude, I felt the cold more strongly than I expected. Second, because I was taking Diamox (as were the other trekkers in my group), and drinking a lot of liquid, I had to pee a lot at night. On the recommendation of a friend who had climbed Kilimanjaro, I carried a pee bottle with me. It was a life-saver. It meant I didn't have to leave the tent at night to pee. Overall, Climb Kili exceeded my expectations. I enthusiastically recommend it.

10/10 experience with Climb Kili
Our experience was incredible. Everything was taken care of from the moment we booked. We didnβt have to worry about getting to/from the airport, permits for the hike, and any clothes or gear we didnβt have we could rent. Our guides, Manny (Emanuel) and Ponsian were truly amazing. They gave us advise every step of the way and helped us understand how to acclimate to the altitude. Our team and porter crew were so helpful, fun, and anticipated everything we could need while hiking, anything from coffee in the morning, meals, toilet on the mountain, to tents positioned and tied down correctly. Iβd recommend Climb Kili to anyone looking to hike this mountain!

Great experience start to finish
Our experience climbing Mount Kilimanjaro with Climb Kili was outstanding from start to finish. Our guides, Eric and Emmanuel, were exceptionalβknowledgeable, encouraging, and always focused on our safety and success. They made the journey unforgettable. The porter team was nothing short of incredible. Watching what they accomplish day after day while carrying heavy loads, setting up camp, and doing it all with smiles and positive attitudes was truly inspiring. We couldnβt have reached the summit without every member of the team. Thank you, Climb Kili, for an amazing adventure!

The adventure of a lifetime with Climb Kili!
My husband and I had talked about climbing Kilimanjaro for years and when we found out that my father-in-law had it on his bucket list, we finally booked a trip for my husband, brother-in-law, father-in-law, and me. We had initially booked with another company but they later informed us that they would not allow climbers over age 70 (FIL was 74). We looked into Climb Kili and found out that they would take us, so we booked our trip. What a fantastic experience! Our guide Goodluck and assistant guide Amani were both excellent. They were kind, knowledgeable, had excellent senses of humor, and they kept us motivated for our climb. I genuinely miss those guys and I almost want to do another climb so I can go with them again. They were the best! During our climb they taught us so much about the mountain, the landscape, plants, animals, and they taught us several swahili words and phrases that we enjoyed practicing with other crew and climbers. The entire crew was great and I still think about them often. They took excellent care of us during the entire hike and I miss being around everyone. They were all very friendly and they were always smiling and laughing even though their job is so physically difficult. I can't say enough good things about the crew. My father-in-law celebrated his birthday the day before our summit and the crew even threw him a surprise party, complete with a cake, candles, and songs. After they successfully got us up to the summit, we could see some of the crew coming up the trail to welcome us back to camp. When we got back to the camp the entire crew came out to celebrate with singing and dancing. It made for a great positive and celebratory atmosphere. We had also gotten to know the other Climb Kili groups that were on the mountain at the same time as us and it was so much fun meeting people from all over the world, seeing them at camp and on the trail every day, encouraging each other, and celebrating our successful climbing. The only issue I had was with the food, but I do not fault the chef for that at all. That was my American palate having to quickly adapt to something totally different. Most of the food had the same seasoning, and it was fine for the first three days but after that I developed a pretty strong aversion to both the taste and smell of the food and I was no longer able to eat anything except for fruit and boiled eggs. So I would advise other climbers to think about bringing along a decent amount of protein bars and other snacks just in case they have the same issue. But again, I DO NOT blame the crew for that. They did provide a lot of food and I truly appreciate their efforts. I feel terrible about my reaction to the food but that was a "me" problem. It's a long hike and the crew has to eat too, so it would be silly for them to carry and cook totally different food for foreign hikers. Overall, this was really a wonderful experience. Their hotel in Arusha isn't luxury accommodations but it was clean, secure, and the staff was so friendly and helpful. The rooftop restaurant was clean and comfortable, and after our hike we enjoyed celebrating over beers with our new friends from the other climbing teams. We also donated some hiking and camping gear to climb kili when we were finished and I wish I had brought more to donate. I wish I had thought to bring at least some beanie hats from my home area for all of the crew or something. So prospective hikers: keep that in mind. This was a vacation that I'll remember for the rest of my life. 10/10, and thank you to Climb Kili, Goodluck, Amani, our additional summit guides Junior and Deus/Chino, our excellent driver Michael, and the rest of the crew for the adventure of a lifetime! *To anyone considering a hike with Climb Kili, you can request specific guides and I would highly recommend Goodluck. He has a great sense of humor and a ton of knowledge. He's definitely a kilimanjaro expert and he could read us like a book. I think he could tell what our fitness level and pace was by the end of the first day and he was able to perfectly time our hikes for the rest of the trip. He really made it easy on us. And Amani was an excellent assistant guide. He was more soft spoken but he was so kind and sweet. I had a bout of nausea on summit day and he helped me through it with kindness and understanding and I don't think I could have done it without him. So ask for Goodluck and Amani, you won't regret it!

The trek was incredibly challenging but the guides were very knowledgeable and helpful to coach us as we ascended. There is a point when you just have to trust them and I am so thankful that I did. Emmanuel and Eric had great advice on dealing with the altitude and pushed us when we needed it.

Best Climb Kili Crew
Tom & Carmel (Mama) After completing the 8 day Lemosho route & all our group making summit we would like to thank each & everyone involved in getting us to the βRoof of Africaβ. To our main guide Emmenuael and assistants Eric & Innocent who were all friendly, very knowledgeable, well organised & supportive with nightly updates on schedule & health checks with our movements also studied throughout the day to see how we were feeling, issues, problems and then always setting the pace to suit the group, all in preparation for the massive effort needed for summit night. Our group size of 6 was great, who each in their own way helping us make summit & thank you to them. The private toilet is definitely needed on the mountain and always ready for use in camp, the porters & full crew's speed in camp set-ups & moving to next camp is astonishing to witness in this tough environment but the food quality & delivery from Top Cook Coleman was unbelievable including all the unreal soups throughout our trek. Great operation with the highest success rate due to knowledge of the Mountain, team work rate & massive advantage of higher Kosovo Base camp saving about an hour to summit. The trip cost seemed average before hand but after seems very reasonable to what support & service is given on the mountain & before by Tiffany, Summit Lodge hotel and the airport collection & drop off. Finally to the Crew & main singers Coleman & Innocent for their encouraging songs that put us in good spirits & will live long in our memories. Again Thank You

What a time!
We were a group of 9, celebrating a 40th birthday. Our ages ranged from 14 to 70. We had a 100% summit success rate! It was all because of Herment, Dismis, Florian,Freddy and numerous other support staff among them Cornell and Jastin. The food was A+. From the pre hike pump up songs, to the ginger tea after supper in the tent warmed by candles, it was a five star experience. I felt so lucky to be taken care of by Herment and his team. Thank you to Climbkili for supporting their staff and enabling them to provide an experience of a lifetime.

Superb experience with the best imaginable guide and team
Our guide Herment, our team and the way they planned, organized and managed the whole trip was nothing less than amazing. We all made it to the summit without any problems (age 20-72 in our group) and we only did this because of the planning and the amazing team. The way the route was planned, the pace Herment set everyday, the way he read us as a group and individuals, and the efficiency and professionalism of the whole team made our dream come true. The food, the setup and the caring from the whole team was nothing close to anything I have experienced before - they all spottet out every need and desire and did all they could to help us. Small things that I noticed and that made a difference to me, beside from ALL the above mentioned, was the fact that our guides picked up trash (left from other groups) every time we stopped and the way they were concerned AND helped porters from other groups (medically) - it just added to my opinion on Climbkili as a professional, caring (both human and environmentally) and dedicated company that I would truly and highly recommend for any Kilimanjaro trek or trip. A final note was on the level of information prior to the trip was really amazing and the time from question to answer made us feel so safe and in good hands. Our highest recommendations to Climbkili in every way and especially to our Guide Herment, who made the success possible.

Wonderful operation
Great operation. Very well organized with the highest success rate on the mountain. Having the higher camp for summit night is a huge advantage over the competition. The small group size also enhances the overall experience. The guides have personally gone to the summit scores and in some cases hundreds of times. They do a great job of monitoring the clientsβ health and know how to make sure that their clients summit! Herments (my lead guide) was terrific. The price was about average but because of the overall high quality of the trip, Climb Kili is the best value on Kilimanjaro.

Excellent tour operator with a lot of experience
Amani and his team took excellent care of us. We all successfully reached the summit and safely made it back down afterwards. They were always incredibly helpful, supportive and positively cheerful. It also showed how much experience they have in guiding people from all backgrounds and at various ability levels. A big plus for me personally was the private portable toilet. The food was also very tasty and plentiful. Our group size was 7, which is nice and not too big.

The Hike of a Lifetime
Climb Kili was truly the best company to hike Mt. Kilimanjaro with, I couldn't have imagined a better experience! The guides (Emmanuel, Innocent, and Ericks) were absolutely amazing and so uplifting during the most challenging parts of the trek. They made sure we were taken care of and went the extra mile if one of us was struggling by offering to carry our bags, etc. The porters were so energetic and sung us traditional songs to lift the morale of the group. The food was wonderful and catered to my vegan dietary needs. The private toilets were a game changer and much more hygienic than the public ones other groups were using. We did health checks every night and the guides were so knowledgeable about altitude sickness. The whole team felt like a big family. I felt safe the entire time and our entire group made it to Uhuru Peak of all different ages! If you're unsure about a company to use, Climb Kili is your best bet!!!
