An Unforgettable Kilimanjaro Climb and Safari – An Extraordinary Team! My wife and I recently experienced one of the greatest adventures of our lives: climbing Mount Kilimanjaro via the Machame Route (September 24–30, 2026), followed by an incredible safari. Words can hardly express how grateful we are for the extraordinary people who made this journey so memorable. What truly made this experience exceptional was the dedication, professionalism, kindness, and genuine care of the entire team. Our head guide, Veda, was absolutely outstanding! His leadership, knowledge, patience, and constant encouragement gave us confidence throughout the climb. He always made our safety and well-being his priority. Our assistant guides, John Prosper and Stephen Mangowi, were equally remarkable, offering tremendous support, motivation, and reassurance, especially during the physically demanding sections and the final summit push. Reaching the summit of Kilimanjaro was an emotional and unforgettable achievement. The altitude, thin air, dust, cold, and physical exhaustion tested us in ways we had never experienced before. Yet, through every challenge, our guides remained positive, attentive, and incredibly supportive. We genuinely felt that our success was their success. A very special thank-you to our amazing cook, Dues Mosses! The quality, variety, and taste of the meals prepared on the mountain exceeded all our expectations. Considering the challenging conditions and remote locations, the food was simply fantastic! Every meal was something to look forward to after a long day of hiking. We also want to recognize the wonderful camp and support team, including George Mily, John Mkanti, Mohameby Mocho, Six Luabest, and Amereus Alfredy, who helped make our daily camp experience so comfortable and organized. From setting up and dismantling tents to carrying equipment, preparing camp, providing water, and taking care of countless details, their hard work was extraordinary. And to all the incredible porters — Haji Nyundo, Elias Sebastian, Kelvin August, Wolfugan Aloise, Charles John, Barnaba Mayaya, Daud Charles, Michael Eliah, Emmanuel Malewo, Baltazary Moha, Daud Mihsa, and John Alphonce — we have enormous respect and gratitude for everything you did. Your strength, dedication, positive attitude, and smiles, even after exhausting days, were truly inspiring. It is impossible to fully appreciate the effort involved in climbing Kilimanjaro without witnessing the incredible work of the porters and camp crew. They are the unsung heroes of this adventure, and every single one deserves recognition. Our safari was another wonderful highlight of our Tanzanian journey. Experiencing Tanzania's magnificent wildlife and breathtaking landscapes after conquering Kilimanjaro made this adventure even more special. It was the perfect way to conclude an extraordinary trip. What impressed us most throughout our journey was not simply the excellent organization or the professionalism of the team, but the genuine warmth, humanity, and pride that everyone brought to their work. We arrived in Tanzania hoping to experience a great adventure. We left with unforgettable memories, a tremendous sense of accomplishment, and immense appreciation for the wonderful people who helped us achieve our dream. I recently completed a 8 days trek on Mt. Kilimanjaro with Climb Kili and I can’t praise the team ( head guide, Raymond and his crews- a total of 19 crews+ 3 guides for 6 climbers) enough. They were very well coordinated from the day one at the trailhead to the summit and back down. Kilimanjaro is a challenging climb but Raymond and his crews provided warmth, encouragement at every turn and left an indelible mark on us. After each camp, the crews left after us and arrived before us at the next camp, all set up with hot waters and warm meals. I truly hold Raymond and his crews in my heart and this once in a life experience will forever stay with me.

Hiking Kilimanjaro with Climb Kili was an incredible experience. Our guides, Seraphin, Frank, and Hans were extremely friendly, attentive, paid attention to our pacing and performance, and did everything they possibly could to make sure we made it to the summit. I came down with food poisoning starting night 1 (my pre-climb carelessness, not Climb Kili's fault!) which resulted in many missed meals and sleepless nights (to put it mildly), but Seraphin and crew constantly checked in, gave me OTC meds, and really catered to me to help me continue the trek till I got better. Not to mention the chef cooked me specific meals with what was available to help me keep food down and recover. And of course the full support team made sure we all arrived to camp with everything set up for our success. Our small group of 5 got along incredibly well and we all pushed each other at the right times throughout the trip. The time at the summit is short (due to altitude) but incredible. Savor every second you can. I told myself Kili was one-and-done, but now that I'm home I miss the mountain and want to do it again. Highly recommend Climb Kili. You won't be disappointed.

Seraphin, Frank, Hans, and the chef quietly adjusting meals to help you keep food down, checking in constantly, making sure you could keep going that’s a team that doesn’t leave anyone behind. They saw you struggling and just took care of it without making it a big deal.

“I told myself Kili was one-and-done, but now I miss the mountain.” That’s the most honest thing anyone has ever written about Kilimanjaro and we feel it deeply.

What an experience! Climbing to the 'Roof of Africa' has been a bucket list item for my wife and I for a number of years. It was never a question of 'if' but 'when'. We decided we would take on the challenge to celebrate our 25th anniversary. My wife did all the research and we decided that we liked the small group option with Climb Kili and was that such a great decision! We were joined by two other couples who we met at the hotel the night before. Over the ensuing 8 days, we became friends and one another's support group during the trek. But candidly, the Climb Kili team of 22 were the true stars. From the lead guide, Raymond's, nightly recap and set up for the next day, to his assistant guides, Emmanuel and Norbert, leading each days hike, their open conversations and side banter proved both calming and insightful. It was clear that our health, safety, and chance of achieving our goal of a successful ascent was their foremost priority. What quickly became both awe-inspiring and deeply appreciated was watching and experiencing the work the remainder of the team did for us. I had never seen what porters did but was stunned to see them in action. Watching them daily, take down the camp, load unbelievably heavy, awkward loads onto the shoulders, heads, and backs, then out pace us to get to the next campsite and having it set up waiting for our arrival was something I will forever respect. Every day, once they had the camp ready, they would hike back to find us along the trail, bringing hot tea, and offered to carry our backpacks to lessen our load for the remainder of the day's hike. Truly the unsung heroes of the team. Simon never ceased to amaze with cooking us 3 full delicious meals. He even somehow baked a cake for my wife and I to celebrate our anniversary high on the mountain. He and 13 other members of the Climb Kili team surprised us after dinner with the cake and songs. Ellie was our matre'd and ensured we got whatever we needed. He was also the lead singer for the team and led his team on several occasions in local songs and dance...they always pulled us into the circle to dance with them. Then came summit night. We left camp at midnight. Climbing in the cold, the dark, the altitude is where the mental aspect of summiting Kilimanjaro comes into focus. Because of the darkness, putting one foot in front of the other becomes monotonous and you get lost in your own thoughts. But led by Raymond, Emmanuel, Norbert, and additionally Albert and Manju proved to be the difference. All of them continually offered words of encouragement. Albert's booming voice always rang out in song which helped immensely to change our thought patterns. The team offered to take on our backpacks to carry for us, help put on or take off clothing for us, always with a smile. After summiting and returning to camp, we were greeted by the Climb Kili team by a celebration of song and dance which was incredible. All I can say is this...if you are looking for a magical experience to help you reach the 'Roof of Africa', you will not be disappointed by having Climb Kili lead you along your journey.

This was the trip of a lifetime, climbing Kili along with a 5-day safari. Climb Kili did an amazing job organising it. To climb Kili you need to be able trust the company with your life as there has been people killed doing it - Climb Kili will be there for you. We had a group of 5 with 19 porters and guides. They were an incredible group of people and made the whole trek unforgettable. If you have Emma D (Manny), Gabriel or Erick as your guides then you are in good hands; they are professional and you will be in good hands. If you are doing a safari then I'd recommend you take an extra day between the trek and safari to rest and get everything sorted out. The Serengeti is unforgettable as it the Ngorongoro Crater. We saw all the big 5 animals along with lots more. Our guide Bonnie was amazing with all the experience he had.

The fact that I summited was largely down to Climb Kili. The support from the team before and during the trip was excellent and the service provided during the climb from head guide John and his assistants Innocent and Deo (plus the wider team of chefs, helpers and porters) was superb. They responded to our issues and noticed some before we did. They hand hold you through the experience (sometimes literally) and are super focused on your successful achievement and seem to be genuinely pleased for you when you do it. Another big advantage is the Kosovo camp - summit night is hard enough but this really helps take at least an hour off the time taken due to the higher start point. Lastly I will never forget the singing from the team on the bus back to the hotel - it capped a truly memorable experience.

Wow, what an incredible experience with Climb Kili! They absolutely exceeded our expectations in every way. Every single member of the Climb Kili crew showed so much care, support and encouragement throughout our 8 days. They felt more like a family than anything else. A huge shoutout to our lead guide Raymon, assistant guides Norbert and Emmanuel who all did an incredible job leading our team of six up to summit successfully and back down the mountain safely. We always felt our safety was the upmost priority for them so felt very reassured that we were all in good hands. Simon the head cook was a master chef at high altitude. The meals were delicious and gave us the much needed energy day after day! For our anniversary celebration, he even baked us a cake with icing and writing, at 13,000 feet elevation! Ellie, our head waiter who served us every meal with so much love and joy. He also happens to have an incredible singing voice! Summit would not have been possible without our two incredible summit porters, Mangu and Albert who quite frankly did everything to help us reach the top. Mangu literally dressed me with additional layers when my hands were frozen, gave me water when the water bladder line froze, and carried my daypack to lessen my load after hours trekking in the dark. When we returned to base camp after summiting, the whole crew was there with songs and dance to celebrate and to congratulate us. There was not a single member of our Climb Kili crew that was less important than another. Every single one of them performed their role impeccably; they had so much heart and dedication in helping us achieve our dream of summiting Kilimanjaro. They also showed so much appreciation for us in choosing them. For anyone still researching, I can say with utmost confidence that you will have the most amazing experience with Climb Kili! I had an incredible experience with Climb Kili and would absolutely recommend them. Tiffany was prompt and clear with communication leading up to the trip, which made all the logistics feel easy. Our guides—Veda, Alfred, and Johnny—were fantastic: attentive, knowledgeable, and clearly very experienced on the mountain. They paced us well, answered all of our questions about the flora, fauna, and history of Kilimanjaro, and paid close attention to both safety and comfort. We had nightly symptom and vital checks, three hot meals a day with dietary preferences accommodated, and access to Kosovo Camp, which was a huge plus. The porters were phenomenal and were treated well, which mattered to me and was one reason I chose a KPAP-certified company. Rental prices were reasonable, the equipment was solid, and the tents were comfortable. Overall, Climb Kili was organized, professional, and genuinely caring from start to finish. I felt very well taken care of throughout the entire climb. Our group had a 100% summit success rate!

Climb kili solo September Herment our guide and his team of men were amazing. They were relaxed, helpful, informative and understanding. I felt safe with them. Food was good although I felt sick with altitude sickness, they kept me going with encouragement and guidance . Booked solo and was in a women only group by chance. We were from all over the world . These 8 days were a life time experience and worth the money spent for this experience. Your singing and dancing gave us the right atmosphere to feel motivated to do something challenging like this. Great guides and an unforgettable experience I did the 8-day Lemosho route with Climb Kili and had an amazing experience overall. Steve and Jhon, our guides, were absolutely fantastic: professional, experienced, patient and always attentive to the group. They kept us motivated throughout the trek, adapted the pace when needed and made us feel safe, especially during the summit night. They really made the experience special. Imran, our driver, was also excellent — very friendly, reliable and helpful. He even brought us for a tour of Arusha! However, the administrative side needs significant improvement. There were several mistakes with the payment management and the wrong photos were uploaded to our Google Docs. Most importantly, when my family tried to contact the office because they had not heard from me, the staff gave them the wrong summit date, which caused unnecessary worry. Overall, I would highly recommend the guides and mountain team, especially Steve and Jhon, but the office team needs to be much more careful with administrative details and communication.

Payment errors, wrong photos, and most of all giving your family the wrong summit date that last one is something we take seriously. Your family deserved accurate updates while you were on the mountain and we didn't get that right. Great company, great guide - EmmaD This was an amazing experience. EmmaD was our group guide and he got us to Uhuru peak and down safely again. His whole team were fantastic. Carrying all our stuff, duffels, tents, food, water and setting up camps before we got there each day. The chef provided us with nourishing food and made me a birthday cake after the summit! How on earth he did that on a mountain I do not know! Amazing 🙏🏻

Look No Further Than ClimbKili I had an incredible experience with Climb Kili and would absolutely recommend them. Tiffany was prompt and clear with communication leading up to the trip, which made all the logistics feel easy. Our guides—Veda, Alfred, and Johnny—were fantastic: attentive, knowledgeable, and clearly very experienced on the mountain. They paced us well, answered all of our questions about the flora, fauna, and history of Kilimanjaro, and paid close attention to both safety and comfort. We had nightly symptom and vital checks, three hot meals a day with dietary preferences accommodated, and access to Kosovo Camp, which was a huge plus. The porters were phenomenal and were treated well, which mattered to me and was one reason I chose a KPAP-certified company. Rental prices were reasonable, the equipment was solid, and the tents were comfortable. Overall, Climb Kili was organized, professional, and genuinely caring from start to finish. I felt very well taken care of throughout the entire climb. Our group had a 100% summit success rate!

Some people are worth remembering forever! I just completed 8-day Lemosho with Veda, John and Singa, and it was so much fun! I came alone, but I always felt like part of a family! I kept talking to everyone and asking questions on the trail, and they were always so willing to talk with me. Sorry, Veda brother — if you can see this comment — I know I’m really annoying sometimes haha, but thank you for keeping me entertained! Singa is the coolest person, always with the kindest smile! And I can’t forget John’s face when I looked “desperate” on the Barranco Wall, especially when he thought I’d love this rocky part haha! Our summit support porter, Six, magically started singing Chinese songs while we were descending from the peak! On summit night, Veda shook my shoulders to keep me awake, John was checking if I had fallen asleep, Singa told me to try pressure breathing, and Six told me that summiting is super easy and the only hard part for him is the coldness. 😆 Thanks to our waiter, George, who woke me up every morning with his mellow voice, brought me hot coffee, and served us hot meals when we were tired and starving. Thanks to our toilet porter, Mohamedy, who handled the hard and dirty job, always with a big smile, dusting our shoes and pants and keeping our toilet clean all the time. Thanks to our camping manager, John, who always worked his magic trying to fix my tent zipper and reassured me that the Barranco Wall wasn’t as scary as I thought! Thanks to our cook, Dives, for making delicious food, especially our favorite — the hot soup! And thanks to the other 13 porters who are the superheroes behind every successful climb, carrying all the heavy things that make our journey possible. And thank you for picking up our backpacks on our way back to Kosovo! I didn’t have many chances to interact with them, but I truly appreciate all their hard work! Luckily, I didn’t experience altitude sickness. For me, Kilimanjaro is more than just a mountain; it’s about the people you create these memories with and share them with!! I miss the moments when we sang “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” and “Hakuna Matata” together. I miss those moments during our blood oxygen checks when we secretly hoped the numbers would go up and joked around together… I miss the popcorn and ginger tea — and no, I don’t miss Diamox! 😂 My team was the best!! Definitely a lifetime memory!!! Thanks to all the lovely people who made my dream come true!!
