Hi Tara, I recall the specific conversation actually. Your husband described a small nest that sounded inactive. This happens frequently where a nest is started by workers then abandoned. As your husband had not observed any evidence that the nest was active I suggested observing it from a safe distance for a period of 2 minutes. After this period if there was no observable activity during the daytime its is extremely unlikely it is active. Knocking on the wall next to the nest with a long object like a broom handle can also be done followed by observation to be sure of this. I told him if he didn't want to do that to call right back and we could easily send a technician to remove it. He indicated on the phone that he was comfortable to observe it and possibly remove it himself if inactive. This was a very friendly conversation so I'm surprised you guys didn't call back to arrange the service when you changed your mind on observing it first after the initial call. Your review is a little shocking as nothing about the interaction was negative and we were only trying to be honest and helpful (possibly saving you some money). I'm sure there are many companies happy to spray chemicals and send you an invoice with no questions asked. We are not that company. We are going to investigate things further and give you honest and practical solutions that aren't always just about getting you to open your wallet Your feedback is of course welcome and I am deeply sorry this interaction offended you so much.
