We had a great stay in our caravan at this park. All the facilities were super clean and it was great to see they weren't closed at the time of cleaning. The kids that were a part of the group had a wonderful time bouncing on the big mat. They met other like minded kids and formed friendships. A short walk to the beach and I even managed to stumble down using my crutch. A dog friendly park except over the summer, and plenty of dogs as well. Altogether a great camp for young and old with a lot of interest locally. We will definately be back. Thank you park management for the experience.
We love this holiday park! It's in a fantastic location with a safe swimming beach just over the hill, next to ocean beach, close to cycle track and not far to Waihi Beach. Oh, and the lovely on-site coffee shop. Facilities are clean and relatively modern, there's an easily accessible dump station and the staff are lovely and friendly.
We booked a campsite last minute and a lovely lady called us and moved us to a better site. The Location was perfect with easy access to both the beach and the harbour. All of the facilities were super clean and everyone was very friendly. The coffee was also on point! We will definitely be back
Such an awesome campground for families, one of the best ones we’ve stayed at. Really friendly & helpful staff, lots to do for kids, lovely walks and it’s beachfront. So many thoughtful touches around the place that make it easy & fun, especially for parents. The coffee shop is also a great spot, loved the toasties & slices (Ofcourse).
For that price, I expected much better. The place was completely packed, even though it's still mid-Spring. My tent space was right next to a road and I couldn't sleep cause any car would wake me up. Showers are free but only have hot water for 4-5minutes. I arrived after hours so I didn't have a map or know where to go, it took some talks with random campers to understand that places were marked, and even then, most are not, so it was really hard to orient myself. Laundry machines exist but they take only $2 coins, and there is no machine to exchange bills to coins. Overall, I was just not happy with the experience, even if I can see that it has decent facilities in some ways...
Great holiday park!! lots of different sites to choose from, extremely clean, pretty, very close to gorgeous beach and facilities were fabulous! We enjoyed our motorhome stay on a non-powered site and it's a great base to cycle to Waihi beach too, along the cycle trail. Would highly recommend.
